Clinton proved you can lie or say “I don’t recall” over and over again and walk away scott free. But that only works when you have the entire establishment in charge of punishing you already in your back pocket. Makes it pretty easy to get away with murder.

Congressional hearings or inquiries for the public are like kangaroo courts. And provide theater for partisan voters who in reality are utter fools .

Those that appear before congress know they can lie like hell and not fear any consequences.

Unless you are roger stone and others like him in context.

You can lie like hell if you are an intel head and not even lose your job over very serious matters like usurping the rule of law and constitution. And you need not fear prosecution for the most egregious crime against the People .

Congress is a corrupt farce and too few are intelligent enough to even notice. I blame it on people not .reading tell all books written by people with inside knowledge and integrity along with blind tribalism and partisanship that unquestioningly creates stupidity.

I will await the outrage from the liberals here over this witness intimidation. They are outraged over a tweet regarding a witness so surely they will weigh in against threats to destroy a witness economically.

    I'll go with this one,

No one in this world ever told you that aid was reliant on a meeting, a call or an investigation.

Sonland: Yes no one ever told me that.

Hmmmm ok big win for the dems and their star witness.

IF this gets out of the House of Reps, the US Senate will dismantle it and the House Dems will look like the fools they think we are.

Due to who's running the show, that's never going to happen.

    And he probably knew it.

It's not hard to lie to someone who wants you to lie.

He didn’t admit to committing a crime. You have swallowed the Russian disinformation narrative hook, line and sinker.

But just for fun ... what crime do you claim he admitted committing?

Abuse of Office, withholding $1 billion in aid in exchange for Ukraine firing the prosecutor investigating Burisma, the company paying his son $50,000 to $85,000 a month. As far as I know he doesn't speak Ukrainian, he doesn't know their laws and he's never worked in the energy business. Considering that what's on his resume that would compel any foreign company to hire him for as much money a MONTH as the average person makes in 12? Give me a good reason other than his father is vice president at the time.

Abuse of office? Leaving aside that the prosecutor was NOT investigating Burisma (or anything else, which is why US, EU, IMF wanted him removed) that would be a crime in USA, not Ukraine. So no need to ask Ukraine to start an investigation.

And no, he didn’t admit to abuse of office. He bragged about performing his duties.
You guys really perpetuate the Russian narrative and you probably don’t even realise it.

$50K a month aint a lot of money in that business. The CEO of ConocoPhillips makes almost 2 million a month.

And you can deflect all you want. It's still about Trumpboy who used American tax money to bribe a foreign power for his personal political gains.

Now 83k a month for someone with no experience in that sector when the average Ukranian makes just north of 7k a year but hey, a connection to a powerful man able to move things in favor of a corrupt company is nothing to be concerned about.

^ Factually wrong, as has been posted on these forums numerous times including by me with links to contemporaneous news stories, and documents from Burisma's attorney.

You completely missed the point. Abuse of office by Biden would be a crime in USA. No need to ask Ukraine to start an investigation about that.

You say 83K a month is a lot when average joe makes 7k. Well, the CEO of ConocoPhillips still makes almost 2 million a month while the average income in the US is not even 60k a year. So there is nothing wrong with the salary. And plenty of people are just employed for their managing skills and not because they know the business. Look at Trump, he employs all kinds of relatives around him to work in the White House.... zero experience.

All this is, is just deflecting away that Trump used tax money to bribe/black mail a foreign power for his personal political gain.
