Pensioner, 78, arrested for murder after 'stabbing burglar to death in his home'

When I saw her go after those guys, I said, "No sh*t!" Some people really don't like people pointing a gun at them. It's like a switch goes off in their head. They're threatened and act to end the threat.

There are quite a few home invasion videos on YouTube. They don't all end well for the homeowner.

 

Your responsibilities. Rights aren't useful in establishing what's meaningful in your life. You've been fed rights all your life but most of the things people find deeply meaningful in their lives have to do with responsibility. So you have to be responsible to your family and broader community, responsible to your job, responsible with your education and responsible in society.

And you will find an element are not responsible and undertake massacres, but to you, at least they had the right to bear arms.

Responsibility has gone right over your head.

 

The same is true in many parts of California.

In the Hermit Country of California you can't use deadly force to defend yourself, family or home if there is a path to escape and run away and dial 911.

But if you live in a county or municipality run by Republicans you have the right to use deadly force to defend yourself, family and home.

 

Except in the UK, you get arrested for the sake somebody got killed and you did it.
And during the process of interrogating and fact checking, you can get let go even though you did kill.
Such a thing happened here too.

 

I AM responsible to my broader community as a member of its well-regulated militia..... Likewise, by defending my homestead I uphold the sociocultural and political norms of my community and help to do my part to deter criminal action by making it unrewarding to the perpetrators and their peers.

They don't have the right to undertake massacres: They have the right to bear arms for lawful purpose. Massacres IE murders in large numbers, are not lawful purposes hence they did not in fact have the right to bear arms for that purpose.

I'm rather responsible, that's why I say I'll shoot a *********ker who breaks in my home. If I won't do it, what right have I to call the police to likely do it for me?

 

You mean like the responsibility of protecting your family?

 

There are a few countries with these ridiculous laws and I think it's time they come to their senses. The right to defend your own life is one of the most basic human rights, you should be able to defend yourself within your own home.

If you invade someone's home, their right to life supersedes yours, end of story. If we are unable to protect what is ours, our societies will crumble

 

Good news, stabbings will no longer occur in London. They just banned knives. This is not a joke.

Anyway. I have never ever thought of buying a knife online. But is it such a bad idea? Any child of any age can buy anything on line with no checks. And many of knife carriers have been children and we are not talking about your old fashioned pen knife. Also, knives can still be bought online but must be collected from a retail or distribution store

I suppose it was way too much of a bother to actually read up on what happened, eh? He was taken in, it was investigated, and he was let go.

You know, exactly how it should have gone.

He was convicted of absolutely nothing because he killed the man in self-defense.

 

Even so, they could have questioned him at home or hospital instead of taking him in like a criminal

 

What's really interesting about this story is the police statement about the incident, which is all weepy and hand-wringing about the human garbage that got his just deserts. Why should criminals fear the police when they act like this?

 

The home became a crime scene so had to be cordoned off from all people as what would happen in any similar event. The couple have still not returned to their home even though the case is now closed and are able to return if they want to.

Also, at the time of the event being reported to the police, the only information that the police had was that one man, who was a neighbour, had been killed by another man

 

Ive been involved in law enforcement of one kind or another. Most people dont realise why authorities do what they do. If we all knew why we'd usually accept such decisions. I'd have my faith in the UK caretakers

 

But unlike the condom, the gun has no early withdrawal option should one need and not have.
