From history you know that only a single person of a society was right about almost everything that was going on before that society fell (the few historical legends)
Again the same thing is going on. One or just a few realize what is fundamentally going on. Politics dominates over people's minds and has influenced their thoughts to a maximum (generation after generation for over a century of time) and billions today are part of the same kind of political systems (can be labeled as democracy or republic, but everybody is just part of an hierarchy (emotionally, some don't care, but they are also part of the system. Only just a few percent in the 'civilized' world or a few percent (old tribes) are independent on every level)

From Gandhi people even can find out know how this works, because Gandhi could also see that something was wrong with the world he lived in (the same as always) He came up with the phrase 'First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win'. Even that phrase isn't right, because you cannot gain 'freedom' by a fight against a political system (Gandhi fought one, which was the wrong decision)

Freedom or political fight does not work, because you cannot weaken or stop a revolutionary war by being (without realizing) part of it (your mind), it is the opposite (that someones mind is no longer part of it, disconnects from it, from television and movies mainly) Which is for most people impossible because emotion hold them part of such (invisible) war (and the system provides everything they need, groceries, water, electricity, fuel, healthcare, media, education, president, politics, military)

As true as the above is, I do not think the below is comprehensive to explaining the phenomena. And, what of entropy?

Could you rephrase the above? Separate concepts some and place them within the social system you refer to.

Again, as true as it is, the basic mental operation you describe seems deficient. For example, emotion is of an unconscious origin. Terms seem skewed or interchanged
