The Flu vaccine has literally about a 1 in a million chance of causing a life threatening reaction (1.2 people with reactions for every 1 million doses).

Almost sounds as if Grim Reaper Cuomo is suggesting this SOLUTION for old folks, yes? It must gall him and the pro-euthenasia crowd that so many of them escaped his 'tender' mercies.

 

But then they are aghast at this same suggestion when opening back up. It's kind of hilarious in a way actually. A logic that they deem unjustified, becomes justified if instead of the virus it becomes the vaccine.

 

For vast numbers of them their ideology overrides logic. Always has and always will.

What fascinates me is how oblivious so many of these excuse makers for an essentially untested vaccine are for a virus that -- after all -- pretty much has a ninety-nine percent survival rate. We are NOT talking H1N1 here . . . you know the virus that Obama-Biden 'defeated' by simply ordering testing for it to come to a halt . . . while so very many leftists . . . cheered?

Scientist work the numbers. There are always problems, look at the history of AIDS treatments.

We still need to look at how the different vaccines work with sub-populations. Infants, pregnant women, comorbidities, etc.

I am old enough to remember polio. I had polio.

My panties aren't in any bunches. I'm saying it's hypocritical to say "Well, compared to most who have no effects to the vaccine, it's okay", and then for that same reasoning not to apply or be accepted with the virus. Because a lot more are merely sickened than killed. And at that, a lot more recover than die.

Now mind you, I'm aware of the long-term effects of the bug and I wouldn't want to get the bug and am taking all precautions to assure I remain healthy. But all things being equal, if reasoning is sound for one thing then it should be sound for another thing. That to me is how I've approached my life philosophically.

Consistency is a virtue, to take different positions depending on the whim of the day however makes me flimsy and untrustworthy.

Let me put this another way, we have moved from science to medical practise. Now we will be seeing what works where. Remember when they said the vaccines worked over 90% of the time? This is a learning process, and if you had been reading experts, or knew about this sort of thing, you would have expected that learning process.
