Ok, so my workplace opens at 8 AM. At 8:15 AM, customers trying to get hold of a certain manager; she is in a room "pumping" and can't be disturbed by mere customers. Seems like that could've/should've been done before going to work? Maybe it has to be done when "nature calls," like going to the bathroom. I can't remember because when my kids were born, they were put on bottles because I knew I would be going back to work. Then we wonder why we're not taken seriously in the workplace, just sayin'.
It is best to do it in the morning, so she's being efficient! Would it be better to refer to the need for better parental leave legislation? I liked the Icelandic system. 3 non-transferable months to each parent, then 3 months to share how they like. That would empower women. "We wonder why we're not taken seriously in the workplace" could be argued to be automatically subservient in tone.
pumping as in breast milk? Could the Assistant Manager take the morning shifts until her pumping season is over?
