With the possibility of Trump being impeached, how do you feel about a Mike Pence presidency?

Have a look at where he stands on the issues.

    http://www.ontheissues.org/IN/Mike_Pence.htm

I see very little to dislike as a conservative.

I'm not losing any sleep over Trump being impeached, provided it's legitimate.

Trump will never ever be removed from office. Pence would be likable but weak...imo.

My main issue with him is the same I have with the mainstream US right, which is the concerning neocon sympathies, patriot act, and all the ME interventionist nonsense. The globalist right is no better than the globalist left.

Also I have a problem with his anti-environment stance, he voted no on several reasonable things, dogmatism gets you nowhere.

But he's completely right on the main issues, so he'd still make a good president.

He'd be a fine President. That said, Trump is going to serve out the rest of his term, and maybe he might even get a second term. Trump's biggest problem is that he's not a true conservative. I think he's a vegetarian trying to sell steak. He's a good salesman, but he doesn't really get the reasons why people like steak.

I do on occasion, but it's in response to progressive trollery... and because of that I've recieved several strikes.

Do you doubt that I'm honestly asking the question posed in the OP?

I think the question represents the fondest dreams of liberals in America as well as foreigners who cant vote in our elections

    I'm neither of those.

I'm a conservative who didn't vote for Trump, but I've been pleasantly surprised by what he's done. He may survive this term and go on for another, as mentioned by @Belch above. I've said here on this forum that I'll vote for him (as if it matters) if he's the best option in 2020.

I'm acknowledging the possibility that Trump could've commited an act that's legitimately worthy of impeachment. Key word being legitimately. If so, then we need to move on, and do so quickly. It's always time for strategy.

agree, he will resign on his own after he loses in 2020, Pence will be President just long enough to issue a Pardon to Trump

actually most liberals do not want Pence, we do find it odd that many republican prefer Trump to the religious rights wet dream Pence

nice to see that most republican are not far religious right as some would have us believe... they just want their votes

Not bad, I disagree with some of his views, but this is certainly premature. Trump will not be removed but I guess this can be homework in case he runs after Trump's term is over.

The likelihood that Trump will be removed from office before 2021 is vanishingly small.

As an Independent Ayatollah Pence would make a lousy POTUS IMO.

We already have enough evidence from when he was a governor that he would push a theist agenda that would be bad for the economy and foreign relations and trade.

The GOP has imposed Nixon, St Reagan, Bush/Cheney and the BLOTUS on the nation and each of them was the worst in their own area of incompetence.

Imposing a zealous theist like Pence will mean that the GOP will manage to alienate everyone else who has not already been turned off by what America has become.

I'm not quite so convinced he will. Not if he is the pillar of Christianity that he purports to be. I can't pretend to know what is in Pence's head or heart, but a man of his faith can't be supporting the criminality and immorality.

The chances of trump stepping down or being impeached are no greater than for obama or bush when they were president

What trump needs is support not idle speculation

Trump campaigned for the office and won

So we conservatives prefer to stick with the one who “brung” us

There's nothing to I have seen to impeach Trump on so the question is pointless.

Unless they come up with a lot more than they have so far, Trump will not be removed from office by impeachment.. And, even if he was, I like Pence. Pence is very religious and as such, he disapproves of homosexuality. He does note hate gays, but rather the act itself. What gays do does not bother me one way or another, but Pence is not going to change.

It appears that the question is whether democrats realize what they will get if Trump is removed from office.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole with you. It has been discussed on many other threads. This one is about Pence.

It's only a rabbit hole to people who believe that Trump hasn't been implicated in a number of crimes already, but you're correct about what this thread is about.

Pence was likely to lose the gubernatorial race in INDIANA. Let that sink in.

He's a fringe evangelical, doesn't really appeal to anyone but them, and has all the charm of used toilet paper. If he's the President, the GOP can say goodbye to the presidency.

You claimed Trump criminality but when asked for examples you run down your rabbit hole. Busted!
