    Your first 2 picks tanked.

But, a lot of people picked those sides.

Granted, ATL had a chance to cover if they scored that last minute TD and tacked on a 2 pointer.

I was really glad to see ATL lose.

I was really surprised the Pats made it look so easy.

Also, I am surprised that Pitt lost today.

Although, it makes betting the AFC Champ Game more clearcut (w/o Big Ben and the revenge factor).

    Hoping for the Saints.

But, in any case, with PHA hosting the Champ game, you are gonna have a dome team QB playing outdoors.

    Epic last-second TD by Minnesota.

    Next week.

Vikings -3.5 Road Faves at Philly.

Pats -9 Home Faves vs Jaguars.

and it show the weakness of the shoulder charge tackle method used in the NFL today - had the defender used the arm wrap tackle, he would have taken down Diggs and the game would have ended with a Saints victory

great game - folks here in the Twin Cities are still celebrating quite vociferously

Thankfully the only NFL bet that I made over the weekend was a 5--Dimer on the Patriots.

    EZ Money. :salute:

The BIG Game is gonna be the Pats.

Line has already moved to Pats -9.5 at a few books.

Excellent choice, the only game I would have tried. I refrained from betting NFL , made my bones on Bama and love to play the college games. Of course a '5 dimer' is a little to rich for my blood. Keep it up

You're not the only one, I don't bet NFL but I have some friends that are still crying after the Minnesota game.

I don't care. Waiting for baseball season. Steelers are out, Pirates open spring training in March...I don't think Jacksonville can beat the Pat's but 9.5 is a lot of lumber. The other game should be great. I underestimated Philly once, maybe it's finally their year...

Pirates just traded McCutcheon and Cole.

Shedding a lot of salary, could be a long year.

Yeah, the Philly game is a hard one.

Minnesota blew a 17 pt. lead and then won on a freak play.

Philly is at home, and they haven't skipped a beat since Foles replaced Wentz.

Brady's (apparent) hand injury is throwing the Vegas Odds into a tizzy.

You won't hear me say this much but kudos to the NFL for streaming the games to our troops overseas AFN is dark because of the shutdown..:applause:

AFN's a sketchy thing to watch. Ours lagged out too often so I would just go on ESPN's game cast.

Thanks for the heads up. I am so glad the tech today allows the troops to skpe , call home, email, watch what they want.. When I first viewed AFN back in 1966 all we got was old Joe Louis fights. Thanks for your service it's sure as hell isn't forgotten. Eagles or Pats ?

Thanks! Pats. I'm from the town they play in (Foxboro- people under 40 spell it this way).

Facebook offers a free call service too. You can make phone calls overseas from your facebook account. Not sure how safe it is though.

Well I have no dog in the fight so good luck with the Pats. I did feel Jax went into hibernation offensively 2nd half, played not to lose. I knew 10 pt lead wasn't safe.

Thanks. Yea if the Jags played the same way they did in the first half, they'd be going to Minnesota. The Eagles D makes me the most worried. Nick Foles can't win his team a super bowl but that defense sure can.

That's my thinking right after the game, Eagles D shut down 2 prime time receivers and decent RBs. Eagles D is pretty fast too, they may fast enough to stop NE's outside stuff, passes to RBs and such. But Brady is the best there ever was and does find ways to win. Should (hope) it's a good game.

Sorry to hear you can't watch. I know this isn't any consolation but it will be on video forever. Good luck.

You got that right! Thanks. I'm not too upset about it. I have watched Brady in 7 super bowls so I can't get too greedy.

I think Brady should get it done.
