I thought of the same with Hillary Rodham, "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown, and still don't know why Obama never surfed.

Life is what you make it champ. Sounds like yours is a real turd sandwich. I have always hated Disneyland. Who needs it when you live in a real wonderland of beaches, mountains, deserts, golf courses, race tracks, poker rooms, city lights, live entertainment, sports Mecca, beautiful women, nice weather and a great mix of nice people from all over the world to mix and mingle with. Game 5 National League Division Series, right here in LA at beautiful Dodger Stadium tonight. Maybe I’ll go down and get a ticket from my favorite scalper ‘Pinhead Schlavotka’ on Staduim Way, drink a few beers, eat a few dogs and catch the game tonight....

I think its a generation thing, I loved the California I grew up in and hate what it is today. On the other hand younger people are accustom to the California they grew up with and love it no less then we did at their age.. It's theirs now, they can do what they wish with it.. I personally never wanted to be the committed to working my life away for sunshine and beach's ;)

After the Northridge earthquake in 1994, there was no power and only conservative Republicans had emergency gas generators.

The liberals in L.A. weren't happy campers.

But the same thing happened in 1992 during the L.A. riots, only gang bangers, arsonist, anarchist and criminals had guns and also conservative Republicans and a few Korean immigrant business owners.

Liberals were in hiding waiting for the U.S. Marines from Pendleton and the U.S. Army from Fort Lewis to arrive to the rescue and protect their liberal butts.

Yeah right. Tent cities on every overpass into Los Angeles. Now Huntington Beach has a homeless problem for the first time ever. Gas costs $4.69. No Energy for millions of citizens.

The cost of living is horrible for the young and poor.

    No right to bear arms.

    Sanctuary Cities.

I am going to head down to a little bar and grille in Glendale right near Riverside and Glendale Boulavard right down the street from Dodger Staduim and have a bunch of drinks with my kid while we watch game 5 of Cardinals Braves game, then snatch a couple tix for the Dodger game tonight. I hope you guys don’t commit suicide worrying about power shortages, liberals and AOC today or tonight. Good luck with that. Cheers

I always consider the luxury of flight, all that can be enjoyed in one hour and twenty one minutes at a fraction of the cost of being a resident ;)

    Update
Just checked the forecast for tomorrow High of 28 and low of 18, so ya California does have it's charm :)

California had all of that back when there was only 20 million people living in the state and you never had to push one for English and it didn't take 2 hours and 15 minutes at 5:30 am in the morning to drive from Pasadena to the VA in Westwood roughly 30 miles and pull in the VA parking lot at 7:45 am.

There was actually a time when you could go skiing in the local mountains and go surfing in the afternoon, but not today.

That Dodger Dog no longer cost a $1 and taking a family to a Rams game can cost you a weeks wages.

So those who despise Trump should move out of the country? I live in CA and have deep roots here. Noticing that our taxes are among the highest while schools rank among the lowest, roads are crumbling, and we are the poverty capitol of the US, doesn't mean that those who stay are not smart. I love CA; its the poor results we get from our irresponsible politicians I have an issue with.

I've posted if before, but the craziest thing I found was having to take a ticket and get in line to launch your boat use a lake! And that was no guarantee you would get a turn either!

Back during my river rat days (70's and 80') on the Colorado River (Lake Havasu) the popular place to be was Copper Canyon. Never more than a dozen boats.

Was that back when the Coast Guard patrolled the river?

Back in the day the Coast Guard would have one Coast Guard Auxiliary boat in the water on Memorial Day, 4th July and Labor Day otherwise rarely ever saw them.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff would put one boat in the water on holidays.

The Mohave County Sheriff always had one boat in the water.

Today they hand out tickets for boating while drinking.

Because of overpopulation the entire Colorado River is crowded with boats.

Lake Havasu is no longer one of the top bass fishing lakes in the country.

I grew up in NorCal, spent Summers in Central Cal, and moved to San Diego for college, I decided I was a surfer and not a skier anymore and made my life here. I have watch it quickly degrade ever since the Democrats took total control. It's only getting worse as the Middle Class has rapidly left the state and been replaced with the poor and illegal aliens.

You want to see what happens to the Middle Class when Democrats are in control? Just check out California. The Middle Class couldn't take Democrat rule and moved out. I am lucky to be on a higher tier and can afford it, but I will go too once my son graduates and I sell this company.

These kids today, I tell ya.....I am at a place called the Red Lion Tavern on Glendale Blvd. It’s been here since 1959 and used to be a place where no blacks would ever think of coming. It’s got a German motif and the girls that work here dress up like Saint Pauli Girls and all of them have big tits. Every car in the parking lot has an info wars sticker and I haven’t seen anyone but white guts here today. Live and let live. I have been coming here for about 45 years and it hasn’t changed a bit. It’s a 5 minute drive to Dodger stadium and it’s full of Angelino’s who are pumped up about the game tonight having some reasonably priced drinks and happy hour pitchers so they can get a little tanked without buying $15 beers at the stadium. I will head over to the ballpark right before the game starts and get great seats for half face value and go watch the game. LA is great! My kind of town, you bet.

    Jack,
CA bankrupted PG&E blaming the state's largest utility with 16 million customers. It was already highly regulated by the state. Under the circumstances, shutting down during wildfires or wildfire season is a responsible and predictable response.

Im hearing that traffic is a mess up north now that traffic lights aren't working.

    People unable to buy gas.

[IMG]PSA[IMG] Electrical companies may shut off power in parts of Southern California communities as Santa Ana winds potentially create dangerous fire conditions later this week.

So here are a few things you can do to help get through a power shutdown:

    • If you come home and everything is dark and nothing works, then yes, you are experiencing a power shutdown. Remain calm. Use your cell phone light to search frantically for the one flashlight you think you have in the house. It will be dead of course. Search for batteries. You will need four but only find three.

    • Wish you had charged your cell phone. Plug your phone into the charger but then say to yourself, “duh the power is out.”

    • Charge up those portable phone chargers tonight. However, keep in mind, should your teen’s phone run out of battery it could be a good thing. Watching them go through Facebook or Instagram withdrawals could be good entertainment. Heck, it could even put them dangerously close to having to read a book by flashlight or doing something creative.

    • Please do not call 911 and ask when the power will come back on. Our dispatchers are very good but they cannot see into the future. They will tell you they do not know and then disconnect so they can answer the other hundred calls from people asking about the power being out.

    • Keep your freezer and refrigerator doors closed to keep food from spoiling. If you have teenagers this may be difficult so speak loudly but slowly to them so they understand. You may need to hang a sign on the doors as well. Use big letters.

    • Use food supplies that do not require refrigeration. We think potato chips, Twinkies, Oreos, and peanut butter might be a good start! Okay, maybe throw an apple or an avocado in there, too.

    • DO NOT use generators, camp stoves, or charcoal grills indoors. Carbon monoxide fumes can be deadly. Moreover, never use a gas stove top or oven to heat your home. Do what your mother used to tell you to do: Put on a sweater.

    • Check on your neighbors. Even the one whose dog barks all night. And the other one who always parks in front of your house.

    - Shared from Pleasanton Police Department posted by Riverside County Sheriff's office!

You should really go somewhere that is totally controlled by those swell Republicans. You seem miserable here. As for me, I don’t give a crap which one of the two scummy parties are in charge. I be staying here in Southern Cal.
