You've got China surrounded. John Pilger came out with a film several years ago 'the coming war with china'. I must watch it. In the meantime you took over an island just a few days ago just to show China

Smoke and bluster from a country that doesn't have much of a bargaining position. They resolved joint energy development in the SCS by negotiation and diplomacy. Cooler heads will prevail and they will solve this in the same way.....as long as there is no outside interference.

I am not aware of making any value judgements in what I wrote in that post. Is there anything in what I said which you can show is not true or do you just go around making personal attacks on this forum? You are still officially a democracy. If there is something the US is doing which you don't like which your post seems to suggest, then you have the ability to work to change things.

Apparently the 270 vessels just sit there... they don't fish, they have occupied the waters of the island of Thitu over 600 times. Beijings way of showing disapproval for the growing relationship and presence between the Philippines and the US.

Earlier this year the US opened a new base in the Phillipines and there's another on the way, they have also amended the Mutual Defense Treaty originally signed in 1951 to include any attack in the South China Sea.

Facility for US forces opens on Philippines’ main island; another slated for Palawan

No, it's just Duterte being a drug-addled psychopath.

His country hasn't had the best of leaders. Duterte is erratic and a poor example imo

Support comes twenty years too late. Worse, claimants to various parts of the seas include Taiwan and Vietnam.
