Physical beauty- Objective or subjective? Cultural or universal?

I would agree, but I guess I'm just inclined to that type of look; women like Cindy Crawford, Penelope Cruz, and to some degree that gal on Castle, Stana Katic, though her face doesn't have as much height to width ratio.

The Florence Colgate picture may be symmetrical, but seems a bit round and flat. A prominent nose and cheek bone adds a lot to a woman's beauty IMO.

 

That's because men age like fine wine. Women age like milk.

I'm not talking about 80-year-old women. Lol. There are a ton of women in their 40s and 50s who are just as beautiful or more beautiful than the women you have posting pictures of. You don't have to be 18 to be beautiful. But, you are just a kid yourself, so of course you would find that age group more appealing.

Amber Heard is (to some) considered the most beautiful woman in the world. She is 30. I prefer women who don't look like they just home from high school.

Seriously though. This mathematical "prettiness" is just stupid. You can be pretty if you have an asymmetrical face and ugly if you have a symmetrical face. This is only like a guideline but is certainly not absolute.

Haha, no. If you maintain good skin and body and have very feminine features you will look good even if you are 60.

You do not have to fulfill every single criteria there is. I just mentioned a few feautures that are, universally, considered to be beautiful.

Obviously not. A 40 year old can have a much more neotenic and/or symetric and more feminine face than a 20 year old. It is not like you stop being beautiful as soon as you turn 40.

The point was never to prove she is the most beautiful woman alive. She just happens to have an incredibly symetric face, the point was to prove that symetric=pretty and you did agree she looks good.

But not just any 40-50 woman, right?

I said she was cute. She isn't sexy or beautiful to me though. She is rather average looking, IMO. Nothing about her is very striking. She does have blue eyes though, so that's a plus.

Well thanks. The facial symmetry test said I'm ugly in one of my pics though, so I must be ugly. I guess I wasn't looking very "symmetrical" that day.

 

But you said that men NEVER say women in their 40s or older are beautiful in your earlier post. That's not true. There are a LOT of beautiful 40-something-year-old women out there. In fact, a lot of them are much more beautiful and sexy than some 18 year olds, IMO. Youth is overrated and not always a good quality.

 

Well, you are a woman and therefore do not share the same perceptipn of "female beauty" as men.

And the next picture gave the opposite result. Depends on how you take your photo and how exactly you follow all steps.

One should not obsess over these things too much, especially not the symetry part. Physical attraction is, nonetheless, more or less objective. There are certain traits that are considered to be beautiful all over the globe and most of these traits have a evolutionary explanation.

It is still more common for women to find older men attractive than the other way around. Youth is not overrated at all. These older women you are refering to all possess all the signs of youth and femininity there is.
