The fact that FDR was a Democrat racist pig as stated in the post that you responded to. Is your memory that short?

I understand why you would want to minimize FDR's racist actions being a Democrat and all but that is dishonest. He had a huge negative impact on blacks and this country. He created the ghettos in the inner cities that so many blacks are trapped in today. He enriched the lives of whites on the back of blacks, more than any other president. How can that be positive? That was disgusting. I forgot. You are a Democrat with a revised fictional view of history. Your argument is nothing but to name calling and rhetorical hyperbole.

It would be the right thing to do, but sadly the right thing rarely happens when you lean left. Much easier to just type prove it, instead of doing any actual reading on you own. Then when shown he has proof to the statement make up so bs or hammer the source as right wing. I personally find alot of satisfaction by proving idiotic statements as idiotic with proof. But i might be different i like to prove I am right than feel I am right.

I've only seen them in the hands of little kids at the beach, which is actually quite fitting for this group of clowns.

A lot. LBJ was one as you and I have discussed before. Does that excuse them? I bet that it does for you if they are Democrats.

I am not a democrat. Where the hell have you been. I left the party when they joined the GOP under Clinton.

When the DP kicked working people to the curb. As the GOP had always done.

FDR served so many terms because the majority of Americans agreed with him on economic issues and regulating banking. So we would never crash again due to bankers being stupid and greedy. It took the GOP coming back and deregs to get the next crash. And the DP destroying the party of FDR.

What? That my grandfather could borrow money thanks to FDR which he paid back allowed him to stop share cropping. And become middle class. He and his nine kids did the labor with mules. Until tractors and john Deere cotton pickers.

    So doing nothing? Lol

You ever clear new ground with mules and hand tools?

"America has no poor, just temporarily embarrassed millionaires" Mark Twain

I admire most really rich people, like Bezos, Buffet and Gates. I may join them yet, who knows? I am no follower of Huey Long in any case. Limiting wealth locks us into the zero-sum economy and that is no good for anyone as the old communist nations could attest.

OTOH billionaires forming cabals to run the country should not be allowed either. WE run the country, others may influence us but it's The People, Yes, the People. Admittedly a cliche but truth is what makes a cliche in the end.

Enough is enough. They need to be stopped, with extreme prejudice!

I understand that they lack money. I do too. And, I've heard that some of my cousins aren't making money either. So, the plight of poor people is spreading. And, that's never a good sign.

But, come on! Hurting on rich people isn't the answer, is it?
And, They are obviously misdirected. Sorry, but NYC isn't in the same tax area as the Hamptons. They won't be the beneficiaries if the Hamptons' rich are taxed. Right?

Well for the simple fact that he signed the CRA and VRA it probably gives him some space. How about Reagan what did he do? How about Bush 41 what did he do? I don't have a problem with Tricky Dick or Ford.

I was told this by my grandparents. They would never lie about it. How do dirt poor share croppers borrow money? FDR had some new deal program for farmers. Otherwise they could not get the loan. Obviously.

I dont agree. "Black Wall Street" in Tulsa and the 1921 race riot has gotten name recognition lately. What people arent told is that black businesses were rebuilt and Black Wall street was thriving again by mid1920s. Tulsa was segregated with jim crow but blacks were living in a safe and prosperous community.

In mid 50s desegregation destroyed "black Wall Street" by diverting black dollars to white businesses. But the neighborhoods were still thriving and safe.

It was the disintegration of the family in mid 60s which brought the onset of gangs and crime in black neighborhoods. Now you cant even get a grocery store in that area. So I blame "the war against poverty" policies that destroyed generations of families.

I think the same can be said for places like detroit, harlem and other black communities once nice places to live and raise children even when segregation was at its worst.

    .

The war against poverty was poorly designed. But we needed it but not the one we got. Incentivising having many kids without marriage was a huge mistake..

I have no idea what you disagree with. I do agree that a lot of well programs that were sold as good for the poor did gave them just enough to keep them poor. My first ex wife got a raise every time she popped out another kid (welfare). Of course in her situation she lied about getting support and was convicted for it but that is just a side note. The point is that she used her ability to breed to get more money to abuse a poorly designed system. When someone suggests improvements to the system other people protest that it's discrimination to build accountability into the system. One example would be workfare. I am all for workfare. It worked real good in Hawaii when they had it.

You fell for his schtick just like so many other blacks. He signed them just to get the black vote and since then all blacks have gotten from the Democrats is a mountain of political promises and no substance. I guess I will provide the recording of LBJ admitting this himself ONE MORE TIME so you can ignore it ONE MORE TIME.

Yep and those 2 pieces of legislation changed America wouldn't you agree. I agree somewhat with you on Democrats, but tell me this what has Republicans done for citizens of color?
