It can be argued but it can't be proven.

    No legal rights...not right now

You’d lose an argument about moral rights.

No one wins an argument about "moral" rights as "morals" vary from person to person , era to era, country to country....vague and ever changing.

That's why "legal" counts more than morals...it protects groups from imposing their "morals" on others.

Here's a question no Anti-Choicer has ever answered...see if you can:

What rights do you want a ZEF to have that don't interfere with the rights of the person they're in?

Our secular world will always permit, even celebrate, things we Christians know are wrong. Abortion is one of those things, it is child sacrifice, murder.

Then stay in your world and let others stay in theirs...the real world.

I’ve done nothing to prevent you or others from staying in the “real world.” I’m only offering truths that offend you: abortion is child sacrifice. That interferes with the desires of those who want to live life with rights but no responsibilities. So they fall back on situational ethics to let themselves pretend that it’s OK to kill a human life if it’s inconvenient to let it live, after all there are no objective moral truths. Every time abortion is performed someone is killed.

You are incorrect. Your position is one of using government force to make safe and legal abortion by medical professionals unavailable. What I actually said was that Abortion laws cannot be enforced and have no benefit to society.

You have not been able to address my challenge.

There are thousands of children that will never see the inside of a permanent. loving home. Are you just as passionate about helping them, or is your concern limited to those that have not taken their first breath?

Yes, I am passionate about helping those children. I can’t fix dysfunctional homes but I can, and have for years, mentored young boys, helping them understand the world is a welcoming place despite the circumstances they start out life with.

    I never said you did.

The truth doesn't offend me...neither does your opinion which isn't based on truth.

    How silly and melodramatic...and untrue.

Who are they? I don't know anyone like that.

So you don't believe in the right to self defense and would let an attacker kill you????

    No, there is no "someone"...

You and I may not agree on abortion laws, but I have the highest respect for you. My dad was a no show and my mother put me in a program called Big Brothers. I was lucky to have a positive male role model that took an interest in my well being. He is part of my family today. I am also lucky to have adopted children, one of which, is pregnant with my first grandchild.

You don't need to have insurance to ask for help? What could be more clear?

So if abortion became illegal, you would say that the legal argument is the one that counts! :roflol:

And again, why would you view a ban on elective abortion in the government controlled health system as "government interference" in our lives?

If someone was caught performing an illegal abortion, they would be arrested. No different to if someone gets caught for murder, they are arrested! I don't know why this is so complicated for you.

Yes, it would be what counted....that wouldn't mean it was a good or decent law written by decent people but it would be a law..

And presumably you would make a MORAL argument against the law!

I don't know why you would presume that since I haven't ever made a "moral" argument for abortion...

...maybe it's that "Desperation Imagination" of yours working overtime :)

It seemed that the argument of "women have the right to their own body" is just as much of a moral argument as it is a legal argument. But if that's purely a legal argument then okay. I just wonder what argument you would make if elective abortion ever became illegal. You wouldn't have much to say!

    No, it isn't.

Oh? Why is that? I would have plenty to say if misogynistic perverts took away women's right to their own bodies....I've said plenty about the scum in Texas doing just that...
