As a new member, I walk on eggshells not knowing what "thread creation rules" I might be breaking in this first post. The following adjectives describe but do not define me: American, conservative, educated, multi-lingual, well-travelled, septuagenarian... By profession I am a retired attorney and teacher; by hobby a woodworker, wordsmith and fisherman. My political views are rooted in the US Constitution, which means I support its First and Second Amendments, among others long since forgotten or abandoned by many Americans. The US Constitution is not a living, mutating philosophy; rather, it should be a blueprint for everything American which has followed and will follow. Donald Trump is MY president. Having helped elect him in 2016, I shall do so again in 2020. Yes, I know that he is a human being with faults and I have weighed his faults, finding those to be far overshadowed by his virtues. On to the substantive forums...
Thanks for your welcome. Please tell me how you created the tagline which appears below your post: "America is at peace because the CIA is at war!"
The First and Second have come under stealth attack through decisions and precedents set in courts. Much of the country doesn't realize this has been going on. They'll just enforce broad questionable interpretations of the law while completely ignoring the Constitution.
Meh, dont worry too much about it. -Make a point. -Link some evidence or context. -Ask a debatable question. -Attack positions instead of people. For example: 'thats moronic' instead of 'you're a moron.' You'll be fine. And welcome
How about our substantive loss of the Fourth and the Tenth? Moi Welcome Status: pending Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic, regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.
