well this is a good sign...and a move to beef up that border and defenses against Russia, who seems to wander into other people backyards unannounced and unwanted!

 

Excellent move by the Poles....the sneaky Russians have always eyed Poland, and which some of their more nutty politicians actually believe belongs to Russia. The Kremlin has a bad habit of nibbling chunks of other nations until they are completely conquered. This move will cause the hard-core among them to actually think a little before they do something extremely stupid!

 

Poles are fools. They expected the patriots in 2019 and they're getting them in 2022 - and for what reason? To make Washington happy at the expense of their own people. But what else can one expect from a nation that will buy Russian LNG gas from Americans and pay a higher price for it.

Nah, Ole Miss is our rival in sports, as I graduated from Ms. State. Bulldogs. And used to be a decent engineering college as well as the second largest in land size in the US, given it is a Land Grant university. Have a huge ag program, from forestry to poultry science. A vet school as well. Got these cows with glass portholes in their sides, so you can see inside them.

hmmm, ag program, that's my field of practice, B Sc in agriculture, crop/forage science....poultry not exactly my thing other than my mother kept some hens for eggs. Cattle wise ..I have some ladies with another fella here, charolais crosses....should be calving in may. Yeah ive had both my arms up to my shoulders almost to turn calves around inside, I like it better when they calve on their own.

That's ignorant....Poland was occupied by the Russians for years....they have a legitimate fear of the demons from the East. Poland's decision to arm themselves with American weapons is a prudent & correct response to the knowledge that the Russian empire has not yet lost its taste for conquest!

He's from Galatia in Western Ukraine. During the Mongol invasion Ukraine separated from Russia and was taken over by the Polish/Lithuanian Empire. When the Polish bishops tried to put the Orthodox under the Pope of Rome, most of the Ukrainian people refused and asked the Tsar if they could reunite again with Russia. Galatia did not, and instead went under the Pope, but it kept the Byzantine rite.

Because they went under the Pope they were looked down on by the Orthodox Russian Ukrainians, while at the same time they were looked down on by the Latin Catholics as well who wanted them to adopt the Latin rite.

Anyway because they were under Poland for centuries as well as under the Austrian/Hungarian Empire, they are a totally different culture from the Russian speaking half - who they hate. How can you have a county when the Western half hates the Eastern and Southern half?

Also how can you have a coup and put a minority group in charge the way Nuland did, and disenfranchise the majority of the people in the country? When Poroshenko came into office, Russia advised him to federate Ukraine in order to keep the country together - which is the only logical thing. That way the poorer Western parts of Ukraine can trade with the nations they want to trade with and better their economic condition, and the Eastern part could continue their trade with Russia.

Poroshenko's response was: We don't accept advice from Russia.
