The key word in that is PERCEPTION. I live in a predominately black neighborhood and it's just as valuable as any white neighborhood.

I would say that property values go down in a neighborhood beginning when the first house is rented rather than owner occupied, regardless. It just ain't the same without pride of ownership and skin in the game.

 

"Gentrification". I even vaguely recall reading an article in just the last week or two, about how one of the concerns surrounding Obama's giant ego monument is the gentrification it may cause in the surrounding neighborhoods, and how it may price blacks out of the neighborhoods.

yes its perfectly fine to shoot someone if they are disobeying the police. The police have no way of knowing if you are armed or not so they have to err on their side of personal safety. Even children know this. Thats why we are taught to obey police officers at all times.

 

Exactly. You'll notice a stark difference in the two or three black families that live in white neighborhoods verses the two or three white families that live in black neighborhoods.

 

Some people and not only on the right but on the left as well, will quickly move out of a previously white neighborhood when blacks are moving in to preserve their investment. A home equity is usually a family's largest capital asset. Its not possible to say categorically, as you do, that its simply a matter of bias, prejudice or racism. To do that is to prejudge the situation. Often its a matter of economic self-preservation.

 

And so what if it is? The OIG threads are full of libs saying that being biased doesn't change people's integrity.

 

Come to some of the majority black suburbs, you will be surprised to find that not all black neighborhoods are "the hood". Atlanta metro.

Then you should be able to find me a black neighborhood that attracts white people in each big blue liberal city since that's where the racists aren't. How about people like Maxine Waters? Why doesn't she live in one of those black neighborhoods? Her neighborhood is 95% white and Asian.

yes if he refuses and makes a quick gesture hes as good as shot...and rightfully so...we dont know if he is going to reach for a gun in his back pocket. Why else would he be disobeying? Cops dont have ESP. All intelligent people grasp this concept thats why we dont get shot by police. That goes for whites and blacks. Its not about skin color its about your attitude.

When blacks become educated and successful they have no obligation to go back to the old neighborhood and make an effort to bring it up. They want the good life just like everyone else.
