Trying to run someone over is lethal force.

When I said threaten, I was speaking in the context of presenting a physical threat to one's safety like having a gun in your face or almost being ran over by a car deliberately.

Understood (now) but that wasn't the case as originally written. What you're describing now is an exigent circumstance in defending/protecting one's life, not a legal procedure. So in this case, if the police are pointing a gun in your face you recommended shooting back since your life is being threatened?

If the police are pointing guns at your face, most likely you were doing an illegal act that warrant guns in your face.

That doesn't answer my question, stick to the point. You have a habit of changing it as the wind blows.

To put it bluntly, no. If cops are pointing guns at you face, surrender and fight it in court. Even if you're completely innovent and the police raided the wrong house, if you know it's the police, trying to shoot it out with them will make you lose automatically. If you get away from that situation alive, you'll have the entire force trying to find you.

    What about the 2d Amendment?
As right wingers always tell us, it was designed to protect you from government tyranny. Therefore, those same right wingers should be demanding that people use high powered guns to protect themselves. Then, the public should join them in stopping the government, arresting the cops, putting them on trial, and then executing the proper sentence whether via the hanging tree or some other form of retribution.

Let's have each and every forum right winger agree. Those who refuse to do so should be banned from the forum for hypocrisy of the most unparalleled nature.

You make a valid point about hearing.

What you do not respond to is his firing into a car knowing there were other people in the car. Police are NOT obligated to use deadly force against anyone and everyone to take out one person. In that logic, in a hostage situation the police would could just use full auto 50 calibers to take out everyone in the building to meet their "obligation" to use deadly force against the hostage taker.

Since the officer was fully willing to kill 3 people to stop one, was the driver going to endanger the lives of more than 2 people since the officer easily could have shot out the tires, radiator and motor. He goal obviously was not stopping the car. It was killing everyone in the car. There was no justification to use deadly force against everyone in the car.

What is your defense to shooting everyone in the car? If you are riding in a car with someone running from the police, you have no obligation to risk your life fighting the driver nor is it a crime to be riding in that car.

By your apparent theory, if someone is robbing a c-store everyone in the store has a duty to attack the robber and, if not, the police are obligated to shoot everyone in the store under the theory of their lack of attacking robber and being in the store with the robber therefore makes them accomplices.

The video does not in any way show the driver trying to run over anyone.

How, exactly, do you claim the girl in the back seat the officer shot was trying to run over someone?

Governments all over the planet, have LONG been used by politicians to enrich themselves at the expense of the citizens.

That said, though perhaps NOT it's original intent, courts are now used as institutions of "public relations" in order to justify the theft of the citizens' wealth.

As one man, Marc Stevens, author of Adventures in Legal land put it, their purpose or intent is to "steal as much as possible, using the least amount of VIOLENCE as necessary."

I encourage you and anyone else who is interested in real examples of how governments, particularly the U.S. and it's various bureaucratic institutions are used by politicians and other bureaucrats to enrich themselves and virtually enslave the citizens, all the while convincing the citizens that it is for their own good, to check the book out.

The book can be purchased at Amazon.com

Or one can listen to the audio book for free on YouTube

    But you asked (implying yes):

So which is it? Shoot back or don't shoot back?

I'm messing with you. Obviously it's not black and white and in some cases, the victim doesn't know it's the police and fires a weapon to protect him/herself and ends up dead as a result.

You cannot claim self defense while in commission of a felony.

Now you're starting to sound like those people who talk about shooting criminals in the leg or shooting the gun out of their hands.

Shooting the tires or the radiator/engine doesn't happen like it does in the movies either.

The others were shot, but they were not life threatening injuries. If he had wanted to kill them all, he could have done so. He didn't.

The person that got the other 2 shot was the driver, who was swerving the car around.

We still have a functional justice system to which we can petition our concerns. The rise against tyranny part is a last resort to a government that became all but a dictatorship. we're not there yet.

Great example how american rambos are are faking evidence.

They faked that shots were fired asking each other is anyone was 'hit'

    There is NO GUN.

Imaginary shots fired, from am imaginary gun.

Rambos are trained to fake this just in case there is a gun they can waste innocent people and GET AWAY WITH IT!

Police shot and killed an unarmed black man in his own backyard. All he was holding was a cellphone.

Stephon Clark, the unarmed black man shot by Sacramento police officers while holding a cellphone in his grandparent’s backyard last week, was shot eight times, six of which hit him in the back

The officer then yells “Gun!”, demands that Clark show his hands once more and both officers then fire several shots. A little over five minutes later, the officers approach and handcuff Clark before beginning medical treatment. The final minutes of the body camera videos are completely silent, as the officers muted their microphones

    https://www.vox.com/identities/2018/3/21/17149092/stephon-clark-police-shooting-sacramento

To serve and protect, what a pile of ****, and over some kid breaking car windows, we arent talking bank robbery and millions of bucks, we're talking about wasting kids over a ****ing broken car window thanks to delusional rambos trained to see guns.....guns every where......yes they are!

Shoot first dont worry the justice system will protect you!

I suppose I should start a thread entitled "execution squads murdering police" - accusing everyone of being cop killers.

No one is accusing every[one] cop of being a Rambo, try to keep it in the same universe, and your blatant disregard for the systematic corruption surrounding the onslaught of murdering innocent kids because some ass twit Rambo has a trigger finger and are protected by the DOJ is truly disturbing.

There are no execution squads murdering Rambos, and you are the only one laughing.

What you say is not politically correct in the minds of the radical far right.

The Grand Jury in the case cleared the officer of wrong doing and clearly looking at the evidence thought the use of force was justified, case closed, the teens in this case were clearly in the wrong see if you break the law you risk getting shot at if you're a danger to others. They should have stopped when they lost control of the car and had an officer with a gun pointed at them.

The guy was holding his cellphone in a classic shooting stance. Not only that but he was running from the police.

yep they ALWAYS do, tryanny at its finest, they said the same thing when stalin murdered thousands. Modern day rambos are not required to identify if its a gun, they are protected by the just-us system.

Heres your badge now get out there and shoot some innocent kid, we got your 6!

What a load of BS, only the driver IF CONVICTED in a COURT of law is he criminal, but rambo went on a shooting spree and shot passengers indiscriminately.

There you go, the world should adopt your system of justice and when a car is speeding down the highway simply blow it hell. Think of all the money that would save, no rambos, no courts, no attorneys. Injustice and tryanny for all! Oh wait we have that already. :censored:

Shoot first and dont ask questions later.

The kid is dead, and its proof rambo didnt know the difference between a cell phone and a gun, he did not use proper care to make sure it was a gun, he simply ASSumed it was a gun and opened fire.

Sorry I dont buy willful negligence as an apology for these rambos. If he could not clearly see the kid had a gun he should not have blasted away indiscriminately.
