Why is everything happening at the Waffle House? Will this be the next racial flashpoint? Who is right and who is wrong here?

The cop shouldn't have choked the kid but I don't know what happened before the camera started to roll. And if some race baiter tries to turn this into a black/white thing then I'm going to start insisting that only black cops be called to respond to incidents involving blacks and let the chips fall where they may.

That is no excuse to go choke a child.

    Seriously.
    /facepalm

Would you have a problem if some Mexican immigrant chocked your kid, under certain circumstances? Come one...

Child? The guy is 22 years old!

    Seriously.
    /facepalm

Edit: And regarding your crack about 'some Mexican immigrant chock[ing[ (sic) [my] kid', your right, I would be upset, I'll let anyone else 'chock' my kid except a Mexican immigrant.

    Seriously.
    /facepalm

Ah... chocking a 22 year old. So chocking is all fine?
Have you been chocked before, and do you chock other people?
Lets just set the norm here where we are at.

To tell you the truth, I wasn't there so I don't know what set this cop off.

He may be only 22 but his is very young looking and very small compared to the cop: I'll bet the cop out weighed the kid by 50-75 pounds and is an experienced officer. There is no rational excuse for choking this kid. None.

I'm sure that part of the video was edited out. It appears his sister was arrested in the same waffle house weeks earlier. If ya go looking for trouble, sometimes you find it.

Ah... that is still assuming chocking a person is part of how police officers react in a proper way.
I seriously doubt that one, buddy.

And that still leaves open the question,... do you chock people yourself and find that normal?
What are your thoughts about some Mexican immigrant chocking you until you pass out. Under what circumstance is a Mexican immigrant allowed to do that according to you?

You know what really kicks the bucket....

It's the fact he got charged with resisting arrest when he was being chocked.
I guess keeping your hands to yourself while being chocked, is resistance.

Dude kept on breathing. So that's where he went wrong.

Black Privilege stipulates that black people can say and do literally anything and expect no reaction from police officers.

He resisted arrest before he was grabbed by the neck. I was charged with resisting arrest once, but a doctor and his wife saw me standing there with my hands up when the officer walked around behind me, I DID NOT TURN AROUND, and the police officer looked around to see if anyone was watching, and kicked my feet out from under me. I got off, he might not.

I'm thinking it's some weird thing the two siblings enjoy together on prom night?

That depends upon the hood the Waffle House is in. If you get arrested there often, avoid it.

Last time I was arrested (1998) it was the third time during the period while my lawyer had $5000 in the bank for a lawsuit against the county ( I was accusing the County Attorney of a felony), when I got on the jail phone I told my mother that if I got out within the hour I would drop the lawsuit and move to Florida, I knew they listened in on jail phones, I was out within the hour, that took a sheriff, a judge, and probably a call to the County Attorney, now I live in Florida. Never been arrested since.

We don't you insist that that the cops who are breaking the law instead of upholding it do what they took an oath to do. It just amazes me how every time we see one of these incidents folks like you are quick to say that race has nothing to do with it. How in the hell do you know race had nothing to do with it.

So in the mind of folks like you, black folks should just bow down when the police shows up and keep their mouth shut. Should we answer, "yassa boss" as well.

Smart people comply with people who wear guns on their hips for a living and have been authorized to use them when they "feel" their life is in danger. Dumb people, not so much.

Oh that's right I forgot back in the day they could use those guns by just saying, "that Nword was resisting arrest" that doesn't work anymore now the new phrase is, "I felt my life was in danger". Please tell me when this officer's life was in danger.

I'm just telling you how it is. I don't care if belligerent people get their heads beat in by cops. Couldn't care less, in fact. Stupid people deserve to win stupid prizes.
