I like practicing with my David sling. A 2 to 4 ounceish stone leaves the pouch around 100 mph. A man sized target at 100 ft is in trouble maybe 6 of 10 throws. Even more at lesser ranges.
That’s brilliant! That trebuchet will be able to take down the castle walls there in short work! Prepare the battering ram!
Agreed, moderate non impact exercises like walking, cycling and swimming are all good for overall health.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p07y10yg I hope this link works outside of the UK. My slot on juggling starts at around 1hr 9 mins and lasts about 15-20 mins including one song (Rubber Ball) and a weather report.
Ah, I'll get my mate to ''rip'' a recording for me and link to that when I can. It worked for an American mate on my other forum, maybe he subscribes to the BBC or something?
Worked for me. Good interview. Looked at the twitter video. Club juggling was pretty smooth too. can only imagine the orange juice everywhere!
Being in a favorite lounge chair watching TV is good for health. I am 72 and always liked TV I am free of chronic illness such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. Anyone got a better testimonial to their healthy living beliefs. Oh and you should probably be older than 72 Moi It's the I tell ya STOP
Funny bit was when the presenter dropped a satsuma on the mixing desk and hit one of the buttons. She panicked for a bit 'cos she didn't know what she'd turned off. The loud clunk you hear her mention was me smacking myself on the head with one of my clubs.
Nah, they're not that heavy. I was looking in the wrong place for the video and couldn't find it. Didn't think to try Twitter. https://twitter.com/georgyjamieson
That says volumes but the question that really needs to be answered is how much time per day do you spend in "your favorite lounge chair"?
I do watch tv and use the PC a the same time, usually when sport is on. With cricket and F1 90% of the time nothing happens, and rugby is not far behind (re-set scrums etc) so I play video games at the same time. I don't watch NFL but that would probably work too. I got used to multi-tasking at work, where'd I'd use Excel or something while on those interminable conference calls so beloved of corporate America. A real pain they were too, since I worked for companies based on the west coast with an 8 hour time difference. Fancy some con-call starting at 6pm......
Do you work from home? The demands of work in a different time zone must be onerous. It would be like being at work for 18 hours a day. My son in law worked in IT and used to get calls during dinner about computer issues.
I'm retired now. But yes, big time differences are a pain. IT must be difficult, working nights and weekends.
