I'm surprised that you would ask. I'm sure that you've heard the complaints.

Too many kids are graduating school without learning basic skills. Yet, they know that Johnny may have two dads, or they might be in the wrong body, or they are toxic.

 

Because many here will use your holding that position as a reason to just dismiss anything you say about immigration. You can hold that position and still say that the "immigration crisis" is unreal and not as depicted by conservatives. Numbers and facts don't change because of who is expressing them. Also, and more importantly, most Democrats rather emphatically do NOT support Open Borders and it is a flat out lie to say they do.

 

I agree. Respected for what he was saying at the time, with most of it being based upon christian principles.

MLK preached non violent resistance. It is said he got the idea from Gandhi. While that era was very violent, due to Civil Rights, that many white americans did not want black americans to have, MLK preached against it. Not everyone listened. I lived that era.

I can't think of a better model, at least coming from the words of MLK, for black americans. Too much is made of his private life, in order to disparage his ideas and words.

In so far as the USSR liking what he said, sure, I can understand that. Anything that created turmoil in the US, even people demonstrating for the RIGHT things, and for justice was good for the USSR, if it created social disorder. They didn't care if it was right or wrong, they just wanted to weaken the US internally. Even if that was in the common good of america at the end of it.

They are loving what they see in america now. Not trump, but the division, which grows, between the two tribes in the US. They want to help foment division, and not one presidential candidate over another. Remember it is said some russians organized an anti trump rally right after he won.

I am sure they delight in the fact that americans because of political tribalism are fighting one another, in a most bat sh*t crazy manner. So keep giving them what they want. ha ha ha

The reporting is thin (imagine that!), but I have read that Border Patrol frontline defenders want additional physical barriers. They don't want a "big, beautiful wall". They want a physical barrier that they can see through.

That Democrats refuse to provide border agents with what those experts say they need, makes any claims that the Democrats make rather groundless.

How many is too many?, I will argue that one is excessive yet no educational system is that good.

My understanding is that America has a workforce that is the envy of the world. Our Universities are full and our graduates are accepted anywhere in the world

How is learning about gay families or gender dysphoria destroying the country? Tolerance is a core progressive value and has made America what it is today.

 

My point ist that they are being programmed with that stuff in lieu of being educated.

Sure, there are likely those high-achievers who do well in life. But the rest?

We used to hear stories of how colleges had to have remedial programs because high-school kids weren't capable in rudimentary tasks. Now, we are hearing that employers need to educate our college graduates in basic tasks.

Colleges are teaching non-patriarchly-biased mathematics fer crissake.

 

The matter of what agents say they need seems to be controversial. Most agents questioned in the field want better technology and more agents. The closer the source is to Trump the more they seem to want a wall (how strange)

And I can't help but wonder how that means other posters here (I'm sure you're not among them so I won't even look) feel they should egregiously misstate every Democrat's opinion at many places I have seen. As a Republican, I'm for open borders, however, along with open borders we should also have zero welfare spending for non-citizens. I would prefer a semi-permeable border, meaning we let in anybody who wants to, but they have to register at the border.

 

While I admire both MLK and Gandhi, non-violent resistance only works if you are resisting against decent folks. If MLK or Gandhi had been resisting in the Soviet Union, non-violence wouldn't work at all.

2/3 of Americans didn't approve of MLK when he was alive.

MLK birthday was shoved up America's bunghole with the threat of burning down black neighborhoods and boycotting states.

 

Trumps ratings have been ~40% from before he got elected. Just check gallup, he's been the most consistent in the ratings.

He got elected with that approval rating and the reason is because 40% are DNC'er's, 40% are GOP'er's and 20% are indies and it's the 20% where the election is really won.

That 20% only care about their pocket, that's why the DNC lost 2020 a while ago.
