Well unlike back during the good old days, most Americans today don't serve their country and expect deplorables to stand post and defend them at night while they sleep.

Polling a group of overwhelmingly young males without college degrees yields predictable results considerably skewed from the American electorate.

They say Fort Irwin (1,000 sq miles) is the last area of the Mojave Desert that is still littered with Indian and pioneer artifacts.

Since it's a military installation it will remain so since civilians don't have much access to the base.

There are nations where the leader is determined by the military.

The United States has a government of, by, and for the People.

 

Veterans see how it affects them directly. Trump increased the military budget. Many units were classed as non operational because of lack of replacement parts during the Obama years and Trump relaxed the rules of engagement which put fewer veterans at risk.

 

Those are very good things. He also let the military fight instead of waiting to run it up the ladder.

 

Somewhat related to what you wrote, not long ago a twenty-eight year old millennial woman lamented to me that thanks to metro-sexualization of men via leftist social engineering, most millennial males seemed to be wimps in comparison to older generations of men. This nation really is falling apart under leftist social engineering.

 

The average age of veterans is 58 while the average voter is 47. Older voters tend to support rightwingers. BFD.
