And by their posts yee shall know them too, and by their constant fallacies and deceitful words, their true ulterior motivesand shame, were revealed before all.
Error, thou know not the sciptures, nor the power thereof. It is, those that live by the Sword (or Gun) shall die by the Sword (or Gun) that is talking about Evil people such as Criminals that work Evil and kill innocents.
Sure now. And, you think what? Typical and predictable given the flood of hyperbole in the mainstream media... and gun sales rise. https://wtop.com/national/2018/03/i...gun-control-why-doesnt-congress-just-pass-it/ Aside from ABC polling historically left leaning and not among the more highly rated polls, often poll results are used as propoganda for the purpose to persuade people to vote with the numbers in the case of 2A related topics, are used to convince voters and politicians of numbers and trends that support specific narratives. A great example were the numbers touted by the Dem campaign to convince voters that Hillary was projected to win, so voting for Trump was futile. And, of course, the polls were correct and Hillary won. I hope this poll convinces Dems to increase their dialog in support of gun control in the 2018 elections.
That's what I got from reading the survey’s methodology that was used for conducting polls for ABC. I always have a problem with polls that are done in Spanish because the person being polled don't speak English.
Amazing how much of the fine print did not make it into the article. Look beyond what they are trying to sell you.
ABC news is biased and the chosen method targeted younger people. The questions were worded to prompt the desired answer. Do you really thing 15% of american think that those who are a danger to themselves or others should have guns? We should doubt all polls ESPECIALLY IF RESULTS SUPPORT OUR OPINIONS!!!
There is no such thing as an "Assault Weapon". That term was created by the anti-gun wackos back in the late 80's to label any gun they do not like. So, this poll is meaningless since it is saying people want to ban guns that do not exist.
ABC news is known for their bias and the methodology used in this survey is available if you click the link at the bottom of the article. Thats all the proof I have to go on. They targeted the youngest person in the household. Why do you think they did that? No reasonable person would conclude that those surveyed represent "Americans" or that this was honest reporting. The fact that they specifically used the term "Assault weapons" shows bias and the intent to direct and mislead. Unfortunately, few bother to read the fine print and there are many on both sides eager to believe these type of stories.
Surveys are an unreliable source of information, as there is no way of verifying the responses that are given, or the so-called "data" that was supposedly compiled.
I was once asked questions during a survey in 1997 I would like to say, and the questions asked were leading and made answering them as if you didn't advocate the right answers, you were advocating crime. Do you favor laws that keep guns out of criminal hands ? And on the surface of it, we would say yes. I do not want guns in the hands of Felons or other prohibited People, but taking guns away from law abiding citizens does not further that aim. That is how polls manipulate people's answers as wanting more gun control.
If you follow the design of Polling questionnaires, you can see how design can be manipulated to produce a response bias. This can be deliberate, or unconscious because of the bias of the architect who may be already thinking of they know the outcome and stage a design of the questions with that bias in mind. It’s very difficult to remove bias from a design, responses are often more revealing of ignorance than of any informed opinion. In asking questions, using loaded terminology such as assault rifles, weapons of war, semi automatics or my new favorite, fully semi automatics, how many of the general public know what that language really means, anything of actual gun design, and is basing response on factual knowlege or is basing a response on emotions that have been generated by dishonest propoganda of the mainstream media? Many survey designs by gun control advocates deliberately use loaded terminology that count on the general ignorance of the population. Ask a question if Semi Autos should be regulated and how many respondents answers based on images of M16s/M4s? When asking there should be a UBC, how many know what that would require to be effective? Asking someone if they favor increased gun controls, will illicit meaningless responses because the question itself is so general that answering in the affirmative is as meaningless as asking if there should be laws passed to protect children (period). Most survey designs I have seen are triple Rorschach tests, the design, question interpretation, and the ultimate analysis ... the meaning is in the eye (and bias) of the beholder.
No, you can make a poll read anyway you want it too simply by polling certain areas of the country. This poll probably concentrated on the East and West coast populated areas. And ignored the fly over states that still hunt and fish.
