you think that is bad, our elected representatives preferred to audit a profit center instead of cost centers like our wars on crime, drugs, poverty, and terror.

i look at it this way; if even the religious right doesn't have a problem with the abomination of hypocrisy and that form of treason to a Commandment from a god; why should I have a problem with the left merely being less ethical in any given situation, in that alternative.

I look at it this way: The OP has noted that the Palestinians have "lost" a billion Euros. Now, where did these Euros go? I'm guessing into the personal coffers of the Palestinian "leadership" where they likely bought some snazzy houses, fine clothing for their wives, and no doubt a hundred dozen hookers for when they were out of town.

The greater misfortune here is how, the leadership within the Palestinian Communities hasn't really opened up. Don't let abuses mistake the fact that this is a very sad situation with hundreds of thousands caught up in warfare. The greatest thing Israel could do to defeat Hamas would be to be an inspiration to the people of Gaza. And right now, unfortunately neither the Israeli government nor the Palestinian "authority" has any such intentions or capability of leading the Palestinians outside of the darkness.

The great tragedy would be if we Westerns drop the ball because this happened, that would allow a black cover over the entire region and once again allow Jewish abuses without insomuch of a word(and for those to whom it would feel better, yes such a cloak would allow Palestinian terrorism to reign free).

Why should they? Someone could ask for transparency on the part of the Palestinian Leadership, and that very same person would be called a Tool of the Zionist Hegemony maybe a picosecond later.

That's still a diversion away from the fact that said Palestinian Leadership doesn't really care to lead the Palestinians at all, but rather is interested in the finer things in life. Where do you think that money went? I'm gonna make a wild guess and say it didn't pay for a new hospital.

*shrug None of that billion euros' been lost per se... it is safe in the bank accounts of Palestinian leaders, and to some extent in the bank accounts of these, supplying rocket components.Purpose served.

Actually I don't know if this report matches reality or no , But Unfortunately this actions could be happened or it really happened , many of funds and donation sent to palestine were used out of scope was it sent !.

concerning to the reasons caused that , there is realy weak persue of implementing desired projects by the doner or the funder , or the donation is conditional by some unethical behavior , so , from my point of view , I could suggest some solutions for this problem :

    * Doner have to form a pursuing steering committe to control execution of these target projects.
    * Doner should determine and select the suitable institution to handle donation duties (e.g UNRWA , UNDB , ... etc )
(If you want to see what your many makes , you have to pursue and control it )

    Thanks for all

Did we ever find the billion or so that was "lost" in Iraq. Why not audit cost centers like our Wars on Crime, Drugs, Poverty, and Terror; instead of only a revenue center?

Well, we do have the distinction of having a McCarthy era phrase in our pledge and no anti-hypocrisy laws to back it up.

The quickness and insistence on NOT discussing the OP but rather deflecting away from it at warp speed is curious. *shrugs*

So what else do you think the money went to? I mean, you say rocket components and hardware, but I'm sure it went towards some well-endowed hookers for our Palestinian Imperial Poobahs. I say we compromise and settle on buying those, ah, "client-states" of the Palestinian leadership some fake headlights. Maybe some cheerleader uniforms? :cheerleader:

I suppose these Palestinian Poobahs could have bought some pressure cookers with their hard-stolen Euros. What do you think, Dutch?

I'm so tired of all the Faux "outrage" over Palestine. if this was a case of another Islamic country supposedly "occupying" another one, or some African republic committing 'atrocities' - the outrage would be virtually nonexistent.

The people who are so obsessed with this dead horse fall into 1 of 3 camps:

    1. Arab/Muslim ultra-nationalists who'll support their own side no matter what.

    2. Racists/anti-Semities/Neo-Nazis/etc - who just 'hate Jews'

    3. Bleeding heart left-wingers who cringe at the idea of people of 'darker skin' being 'oppressed' by people of 'lighter skin' (but wouldn't make as much as a peep about the issue if the shades of skin were both dark)

Israelis help Gazans while Hamas build rockets and terror tunnels.
Israelis help Gazans while Egypt blow up supply tunnels.
Israelis help Gazans with cement while Hamas build military bunkers.
    Stupids.

Israel mostly helps because it is obligated to help for humanitarioan reasons, right or wrong Israel does have some responsibility over Gaza, for now.

But what other ppl here said is true, Gaza and WB wellfare is an Israeli interst, if we can work together that is.

This fake , not true !

Israel has the biggest role in closing Gaza strip and convert it to a big prison ,

so, when Palestinians build tunnels under there bounders with Egypt , they aims to light the big problem resulted from Israeli and Egyptian closing of Gaza strip gates , a lot of patients where dead by preventing them from treatment travel through theses closed gates , a big crisis were happened in all life sectors due to this illegal closing , so (in my opinion ) there is a clear justification for tunnels under ground between Gaza and Egypt .

regarding to tunnels those under Israeli land , I would like to tell you that one missile of F16 planes fired toward Gaza during Israeli violation can dig a hole deeper than that exposed tunnel ..

    ( Please , don't say " Israel helps Gaza" )
