I think there is no hell. And that Adam & Eve did not exist. The former is strictly a question of spirituality, the latter is a scientific fact. I was hoping that religion was catching on to reality. Sadly, though not unexpectedly, I was wrong.

I was not duped. The FACT that their was no Adam & Eve is indisputable, given the genetic evidence. As for whether or not there is a hell, if you believe in a living creator, then believing in hell is a malfunction.

 

Whether or not science will ever get it right is debatable but I really don't get your second pipe dream.

Well, fact is, Science HAS GOTTEN IT RIGHT, there was no "adam and eve"...but the fact remains, Dental Floss believed the OP. Of course, that's not too far past the realm of possibility since the Roman Catholic Church recognizes Evolution as a fact.

 

It would have been a rare sign of coming to terms with reality for the church to accept more than that. Thats where a person should have suspected it wasnt so.

It's easy to get duped, obviously, as people are duped all the time into believing that a magic zombie from Nazareth will magically return and absolve them of all their "sins" if they just mindlessly "worship" him. The price to be paid, however, is that one must jettison ones logic, reason, and belief in science, obviously, since the story has so many holes in it. 2.1 billion people are that gullible.
Also, 1.5 billion people are so gullible that they believe that a pedophile and mass-murderer of innocent people is the greatest person of all time (hint: he inspired 9/11.) We live in a gullible world.
