It seems that about half to perhaps most young women are into porn. Since I seek out women who are sexually driven I can't be sure how that relates to a random sample. But almost all of the young women I've seen [which is a lot!] were into porn or at least not offended by it.

There was one I saw for almost two years who really liked lesbian porn. So I started putting together a collection of really hot lesbian porn for us to watch before we screwed around. I was extremely selective. LOL! She loved it!

Men are visual whereas women tend to be more mental. Romance novels used to be called porn for women. And it objectified men just as much as porn objectifies women. This whole argument about objectification is silly. We all objectify other people. And women do it to men as much or more than men do it to women. The key is whether you only objectify someone. There is nothing wrong with appreciating a woman's sexuality. As long as you can still see them as a whole person there is no harm done.

Do you know how to quickly identify a chick flick that objectifies men in a way that women often do?

    The men are wearing sweaters.

So find those people and complain about this crap to them.

I do not care that the first lady was naked.

I'd say a movie that depicts a bad boy type accidentally falling in love with a hook up.

Women have sex with the bad boy. They don't marry him. :) So it depends on the audience. But that is really more about breaking a stereotype, isn't it?

Watch just about any movie on the Hallmark Channel. The men are hyper feminized. The dead giveaway is the soft, snugly sweaters. LOL! But the sweaters are really just symbols of domestication. This is about what women want men to be; broken. They may not know it but it that's what it is. I fell into that trap in order to save my marriage. And slowly but surely, it sucked the will to live right out of me. After putting a gun to my head and trying to pull the trigger, I realized what was happening and got the hell out. And for almost a decade I've been living a life that goes beyond my wildest imagination.

There are plenty of other men who don't make it. They pull the trigger.

so why did they get so upset when the bad boy dumps them?

Also being easy will drive marriage material men away. They don't want to be a woman's for their fifth or 150th choice. They have higher value than that.
well the tropes exist for a reason though I think the term bad boy is a bit reductive I think there's more to it than that.
no movies portray an ideal or a fantasy women tell men what they want men to be by saying yes to them or saying I no to them.
I've never experienced it myself as I'm a gay man. But so much of what men do is to attract women. If it didn't work they wouldn't do it. And then look at the men who don't care gay men for instance. There seems to be a lot more diversity in men who date other men there are effeminate types, players, domesticated sweater wearing types, big grizzly bikers. Guys like me. It surprises me when a woman is attracted to me. It make me wonder if the tryhards are doing it wrong. I've had women be rather creepy with me to try and gain my interest.
I'm sorry it got that bad for your and I truly am glad you made it through. I never got that far but I thought about it.

If they know you are gay, then I bet there is a lot of wanting what they cant have. Maybe she imagines the massive ego boost of if she could turn you straight, being just that irresistible.

Oftentimes I didn't know I was gay I've been curious and I've asked typically other women because when you say that to a woman that just asked you out and you told her you're gay she's either very embarrassed or very competitive. But I've asked other women and they say it's because I'm not desperate for them I don't need their attention. They just the same I'm straight because there's no outward sign that I'm not

There's definitely nothing inherently wrong with porn. But are there problems in the industry? Sure. The OP video is not very compelling. Uses exactly no data to support its likely specious comments.

Agriculture and textiles are what I like to compare the sex industry to. Just because some in the industry do horrible things like slavery, doesn't make the whole industry inherently evil.

Valid points against porn would have to do more than just point at problems existing within some segments of it.

Best argument I can think of is that it may desensitizes people and makes sex with their real life mate a little less intense than it otherwise could be. But then again, without porn to spot them in, a lot of sex acts wouldn't be explored by most couples.

To the video... I actually agree with what he is saying, but the title should be "rape porn is misogyny", not "porn is misogyny".
