Their giddy support for a lying p-grabber exposed the "Christian" right's fake morality, but this should erase any lingering doubts.

No doubt, any qualms about what has happened will be assuaged by the thought that he was "doing God's work" (though why an omnipotent being needs to resort to alleged election irregularities to get their chosen candidate elected is a mystery). It's not an unusual position the ends (getting legislation that the Christians want passed) justify the means.

To be honest, almost everyone does it to some extent. We support unpleasant regimes because we have mutual enemies. Special interest groups are pandered to to further "our" agenda. It's hardly surprising that a group with very firmly held beliefs (and from a religion where people were literally crucified for them) are willing to look the other way quite a lot to ensure that their agenda is realised.

Within the pack of hyper-partisan hypocritical zealots feigning religious zealotry, there is sincere, apolitical ilk unwilling to sell their souls to the devil, embarrassed and appalled by the crass, narcissistic P-Grabber.

It looks as if Marine veteran Dan McCready will be battling Bible Thumper Harris once again - unless Harris runs away this time.

There will likely have to be a repeat of the North Carolina 9th District election due to Republican voter fraud, and nationally, it'll be the only show in town.

But it was given a free pass by the state Republican party. They knew that same kind of fraud had gone on in the Republican primary.

    California Democrats didn't destroy ballots.

    New Hampshire Republicans did.

You're trying to claim the situations are the same. Your phony "but both sides do it!" story there is an exercise in running interference for Republican election fraud.

Both sides don't do it. Only your side does it. You're corrupt, we're not. And faking more stories about Democrats just makes you more corrupt.

How do you know California Democrats didn't destroy ballots? Nobody knows, because California Democrats made the process of Ballot Harvesting legal.

I don't condone or support any political party committing voter fraud. If that took place in NC, then the people involved need to be held accountable, and the election judged accordingly. However, it's BS to use that one example to claim the Republican Party is corrupt across the Nation.

The Dems in California, the most populous state in the Nation by a massive margin, made what Republican's are accused of doing in NC legal.

So, I think you need to put that in perspective when your trying make accusations about Ballot Harvesting in NC. Dems made it a legal institution in California.

It may be that the entire state of North Carolina is in desperate need of democracy.

So, you're admitting that you have no evidence that California democrats destroyed ballots. You just have a feeling.

We know NC Republicans destroyed ballots. There is no evidence that California Democrats destroyed ballots. The two situations are _not_ the same thing.

Good thing we haven't done that. We have, however, pointed out that Republicans across the nation are running interference for that NC election fraud with phony stories of "But Democrats do it too, so they're not allowed to criticize!".

No, the Democrats did not make it legal to trash ballots.

I think you need to admit that your side trashes ballots, and ours doesn't. Nobody is protesting ballot harvesting. That's your strawman. People are protesting putting ballots in the trash.

You have no proof Democrats in California didn't destroy ballots, as they made the process you're upset about in NC legal. You just have a feeling your side doesn't do it.

    https://townhall.com/columnists/sco...a-dems-latest-election-stealing-tool-n2536860

The change was a small but significant one. California, in its infinite wisdom, decided to make the practice of “ballot harvesting” legal. Thus, instead of only relatives or those living in the same household being allowed to legally collect and turn in absentee ballots for voters - as was previously the law - any “third party” can do it, including activist groups, Democratic operatives, or street-corner panhandlers.
You have zero legs to stand on, considering the Progressive Democrats in California passed legislation to make legal, what many States are taking steps to make illegal.

Do you really fail to see the irony of claiming that he failed to prove a negative AND saying that he has zero legs to stand on?

Stop the whataboutism. Your California example is not an example - at all - because you have zero evidence of any wrongdoing.

And people are not using NC-9th to say that Republicans are corrupt across the nation. We are using NC-9th as an example of actual voter fraud that took place and was perpetrated by a Republican in the 9th District of North Carolina.

If we wanted to talk about the corruption for the rest of the Republicans across the nation, we would talk about their gerrymandering in states like Wisconsin and North Carolina. We would talk about their lame duck session power grabs like in Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. And we would talk about their continued support for a Republican president who was described on FRIDAY BY FEDERAL PROSECUTORS of directing a subordinate to commit a felony.

Do you really fail to see his argument is groundless because of the parallels between NC and California?

On one hand there is a claim ballot harvesting by Republicans in NC opened the door to fraud and destruction of ballots, but the same kind of ballot harvesting in California, made legal by Democrats, was pure and nothing illegal occurred. There is no proof of that, and I correctly pointed out it was obviously just his feeling.

    Nice try, no cigar.

What, can't handle a rational argument?

And since you appear to be representing the team, care to comment on your team members comments, along with yours, and viewable on this thread, which have been attempting to show what happened in NC is representative of Republicans in general. That fact isn't debatable MrTLegal.

And speaking of irony, which you accused me of in another post, the whataboutism, which you demand I stop, is glaring in your final paragraph.

You think asking someone to prove a negative is a rational argument? You should not.

And my last paragraph is a direct response to the allegation that people are using this example as representative of Republicans across the country. I am telling you that they do not and they should not. Instead, if they want to bash Republican corruption across the country, then they have a whole host of different election related issues that ARE taking place across the country.

That person made an absolute declaration that nothing illegal took place during ballot harvesting by Democrats in California. You make an absolute declaration, you had better be able to prove it. One might say the don't believe, or they doubt, which are just opinions, but an absolute declaration is a different thing. And you know that.

As to your last paragraph, and this new attempt at explanation, the evidence on this thread proves otherwise.

And yes, if one wants to look at corruption by Democrats, there are a multitude of examples across the Nation to go by. But this thread is about one District in one State.

You're right, that poster really should have said "Unlike the Republicans in North Carolina, there is no credible evidence for Democrats in California destroying ballots". Of course you should also apply the same standards to allegations coming from right wing sources.

I do. I generally don't make statements that are absolutes. For example, I don't say "Everybody knows Progressives suck". That's an absolute, and it's not accurate.

Want an example of lame-duck power moves by Democrats? At the presidential level? The developing crisis after the Pentagon finding on the Russian Hackings. The new administration didn't want to have to take on this crisis of relations and that's why the Flynn conversation in the first place.

Had the prior administration not done anything(as is normally custom), part of our current mess wouldn't be happening right now.

Oh that is an absolute load of bullshit. National Security is not some feature where the outgoing administration takes a back seat and hands off approach. The incoming administration is the one that needs to sit down and shut the **** up until they have the authority to act on behalf of the country.

Put it this way: At the end of Bush Senior's term, he pulled out of Iraq(1990-1991) and didn't hoist it on incoming POTUS Bill Clinton. TARP was negotiated like a whole month before POTUS Obama came into office(IE: Before the elections.). Maybe it's not written as an ironclad rule, but it's general courtesy not to do any major **** towards the end of your time in office.

By ramping up the tensions late with the Russians, POTUS Obama interfered with the incoming administration and thus made the Flynn talks a reality. I'd hate Trump to do an eye for an eye, and like say get the US into a war or something with an incoming democratic president. That'd be wrong too, but karma has a way of equaling out.

It is amusing that the hopelessly deluded who swallowed Lyin' Don's ludicrous fake hysterics about 3-5 million bogus balloteers all voting against him (They changed hats.) can't deal with an actual case of voter fraud.

“The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes!
When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles.
Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat,
put on a different shirt, come in and vote again!"
Serious voter fraud is perpetrated by hacking into computerized tallies, or perverting mass quantities of absentee ballots, not by millions (or even thousands, hundreds, or dozens of folks) wearing different hats.

That would be a criminal caper as efficient as counterfeiting pennies.

The righteous Republican bible thumper candidate who would have benefited by the fraud?

He was like the piano player in the whore house parlor.

He had no idea what was going on upstairs.

Trump may wish you to believe that 3-5 million folks illicitly voted against him by sporting different hats, but reality exposes bulk absentee ballots as an actual vulnerability in the democratic process.

There are no parallels. There are opposites. Your side trashed ballots, and ours didn't. And you're running cover for the ballot trashing by way of phony comparisons.

No, that's your strawman, so don't expect anyone else to care about it. Stick with the facts. Republicans trashed ballots, and Democrats didn't.

So what are you guilty of? Obviously something, by your standards, being you can't prove you're not guilty. Thus, we know you're corrupt, and that we shouldn't listen to you. Hey, that was easy.

    Thank you for your opinion.

Here's a tip. When you write "don't expect anyone else to care about it", you eliminate your credibility because you don't speak for everyone, or anyone, but yourself. Further, you have no proof your "side" didn't do anything.

    Nice try. Total fail.
