Predicting the youth vote in 2024

That is true; I've noticed I'm overly pessimistic; then again, there are a lot of posters who are complacently over-optimistic, so I do have a role.

That makes four of us - three experts and me.

Thomas Paine wrote Agrarian Justice in 1797- a remarkably simple, logical, and consistent way to solve a problem, which back then we didn't have.

The solution was Universal Basic Dividend (UBD), a funding source applied to Universal Basic Income (UBI).

I was very impressed by (UBI/UBD) but took a while to notice it is a solution to a problem many people don't yet have.

How did Thomas Paine and I come to the same conclusions, and yes, he used a lot more brainpower to produce it than I did to understand it?

The reason appears to be that we both lived in England, and for approximately the same amounts of time.

England has a problem with scarce resources and failing to make good use of those resources.
The problem orginated in 1603 when England threw large numbers of peasants off the land who then had no way to work for a living.
In contrast, it was still possible in the mid-1970s in the US for someone with no work to go find work on a farm. The US has had surplus agricultural land for most of its existence so socialism wasn't really of much value.

Guess who else lived in England? Karl Marx.

And Andrew Yang is working down at the lower end of the economy in the US where the problems which long existed in England are now beginning to appear.

So we all reached the same conclusion. But its time may have finally come, at least down at the lower end of the economy.

Maybe, but you are either going to have to put up with free riders (which will embitter the workers), or throw them off the bus, which will ... no, I guess I could live with that. Need lots of police to enforce it though.
