Iirc, I said 'Trump wins - after months of fraud investigations, court battles, MSM interference and riots.' Biden is not in the oval office yet (I'm pleased to have been wrong so far about the riots bit!)
PARTIZAN1- I was busy working for the Election Commision so I purposely went dark from here some time before the election. I told friends and acquantances who asked my opinion that Trump would win by 15 EC's. I said that Biden would eek out a popular vote victory but very narrowly. So I was happily wrong.
I am happy to say that my predictions were a little bit on the pessimistic side. Both Biden's EC college win and the popular vote win are more substantial than I had thought. Now, I also predicted Trump would challenge in the swing states, particularly PA, but I didn't think he would do it with Biden having such a significant margin.
Nice work. A Lot of Posts that Didn't Age Well (from the Trump Side). Anyway, I am still left with the same essential observation. And, this doesn't apply specifically to PF, Facebook, Twitter, or any other specific group or social media site. Here is the observation: Everybody KNEW (for months) that Trump was Absolute Toast (and that Trump didn't have a prayer of winning the Election). And, that leads to the question: How could anybody have actually thought that Trump was going to Win? Every objective observer (from both sides) saw Biden's Win coming for months. Puzzling.
I think most people were wary of the polls due to the inaccuracies of 2016. Few look beyond that. Personally, I sensed severe Trump Fatigue many months ago. Most of us have decent manners and at least a modicum of empathy for our fellow Americans, and we got tired of the rudeness, the nastiness coming from Trump. Basically, he's an a..hole, and most people don't like a..holes. Plus, a lot of those who voted for him in 2016 did so as a novelty, as a way of lobbing a symbolic molotov cocktail into the heart of DC, but now see that the collateral damage wasn't worth it.
Everybody should have been well aware that Pollsters Updated their Models to prevent a repeat of 2016. And, your point about "blowing it up" is well taken. And, I agree, the "collateral damage" WASN'T worth it. Historically, Trump's Election (and Administration) will go down as the worst Desecration of American Domestic Tranquility since the Civil War.
While my prediction was totally wrong it was based on what Trump did in 2016, how he had achieved a historic economy, and his massive crowds compared to Biden's sparse crowds (when he came out of his basement). But in the vote totals it seems to me many people put their contempt for Trump above all else. I have never seen that in a presidential election.
Very true. There was a massive coalition that came together from the AOC/Left to the Lincoln Project Republicans. So many people just wanted Trump gone.
Imagine what would have happened if the Dems actually had put out a GOOD candidate, instead of a low energy, 78 year old Washington insider. Trump would have been blown away.
Imagine what would happen if pigs could fly. Duh Too bad the Dems had no "better" candidates than Dementia Joe, the Dems fielded 20 candidates and each one of them was pretty much an unelectable lunatic nobody... with the exception of that Hawaiian chick who is sane and thus totally unelectable in dem primaries. Lest we forget that it took the efforts of the entire MSM and Social media, their lies, information suppression and censorship to drag poor senile old fart over the finish line.
