    I do trust Moshe Dayan and he did have a different take on things being born there.
    Involved with the liberation of the denied Holy Sites in Jerusalem too.

    Similar to the War for Israel's Annihilation of 1948 that increased Israel turf by some 30% from that partitioned for Israel by the U.N. - One survives a War Of Annihilation, one gets land.

    Again, I believe Truman's expressions are so similar to those cheering for Israel the underdog
    and disappointed when Israel not only survives but wins.

    What do you mean by "denied" holy sites? When I was there our guides were Christians and our drivers were Muslims.. I think we saw all the holy sites in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

    I mean in the early sixties my Uncle David took a trip around the world.
    He went to the Jordanian Embassy to acquire a visa and for religion wrote, "agnostic".
    After some dispute about the answer, the supervisor told him he should be ashamed
    of himself and granted his visa.
    If he had written Jewish, his visa would have been denied.

    That is what I mean by "denied holy sites".

    I went to the Holy Lands 3 times for two weeks each trip with my Sunday school class in Saudi Arabia. My US passport doesn't designate my religion. Never had any problem.

    I was not allowed to enter Israel proper.

    In the early sixties if you wanted to visit......
    Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Tunisia and Turkey......
    you would have to go the most radical Islamic nation first... the second most radical Islamic nation second.....
    and on and on... .and go to Israel last.........
    or you would not be able to visit all of those nations.......

    Authorized arms & supplies by executive action
    when Israel was running low
    in the Yom Kippur war.

    Yes to Trump.

    Truman was duplicitous.
    Such as refusing to sell arms to the new nation of Israel
    under attack from; Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, etc.

    Good point! I saw an interview by a guy named MacKay in which the Nixon arms sale to Israel was explained to have essentially saved the nation of Israel.

    Because President Truman identified with Cyrus......
    films set in his time period could address the question of building the Jewish people at least one if not two or three or more temples......
