The further government inserts itself into the economy, the more things get screwed up.

We should run, not walk, from socialism.

    No joke.

As I pointed out in the OP, this year marks the 30th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, but we've got a bunch of socialist imbeciles in the Democratic Party who are still rocking the Hammer & Sickle.

For the "progressive" Cult of Fiasco, History's mistakes are to be ignored and repeated. They will never learn...

Ockham's Razor - they didn't stand up because they're a bunch of socialists.

At least Sanders is open and honest about who and what he is. The rest of them masquerade as "progressives"....

Such collapses are common when government has seized the means of production under the guise of "fairness". So now you have a collapsing government, using it's military to control a disarmed starving people, and billionaires shipping Venezuelan gold to foreign banks so that they can remain fabulously wealthy even if they have to flee.
So what? If you don't like it, move. We don't restrict your travel nor force you to live here.
And a number of these countries free-load their defense off the US taxpayer, Trump's working to fix that.
We need transparent published pricing by all medical providers, prescription drug price reform and reinsurance to ensure that everyone who wants coverage, has coverage.
Typical hospital copay in the US, even for a higher deductible policy is $250.

Under Trump, if you like your Canadian Healthcare, you can keep your Canadian healthcare.

While Canada does a number of things very well and they have my admiration and goodwill, you can take your scolding hectoring tone and stuff it up your ass.

Most Americans consistently concur that Trump stinks, but Trumpery has issued a new meme:

    "SOCIALIST!"

    "SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!
    SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST! SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!
    SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST! SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!

    SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!SOCIALIST!"

    [IMG] [IMG]
"Does this mean that we can finally have 'liberal' back, John?"

"After how they've befouled it, I'm not sure that I want it back, Charles-Louis!"

Gee, here I thought that choas reins whenever a government and economy collapse. I am not supporting the idiocy of Moduro and his "founding father" Chavez in any way. I think actual socialism is a dead end.

yeah so what. BTW, for future reference I am a Canadian.

You mean he's once again trying to fix a problem that had already been fixed by Obama and then claiming he "fixed" the problem.
Seems you actually believe his pathetic narcissistic posturing.

I see trump has gotten right on that one.

    If you have private insurance.

Nah, we don't like our system, we love it. Sure its chock full of problems and issues, but its saved my parent's lives and mine and it didn't cost us anything (and neither of us had private insurance at the time). Yep we'll be keeping it, thanks.

Ahhhhh, hit a nerve did I? But I get how trumpians can dish it out but can't take it. Let is snow.

Your clown wears fake eyebrows and you are going to lecture us?
    upload_2019-2-9_9-34-29.jpeg
    He has.
If you want it, you can have it.
Good to hear, I'm glad to hear your good news. I also think your farm supports through tariffs is a much better system with less waste and better results than our ridiculous price support system. But, we have to take the lowest hanging fruit, first.

Right! The government screws up everything. Examples are
    Public health programs
    The interstate highway system
    FDIC
    Social Security
    Medicare
    The GI Bill
    Federal Housing Authority
    Consumer protection
    USPS
    Military
    Police
    Fire Departments
    National Parks

Prove it. I think you know you're spewing BS. Your knowledge of the subject is revealed in your concern for profits, as though government should make a profit. If you value profit above impartial, efficient service, then you wouldn't understand that some programs are best left to government and kept from being a profit center.

Every American is a socialist up to a point; they elect politicians who promote and fund socialist programs in this country. You work a 40 hour week? That's a socialist program that was pushed over 70 years ago and was eventually passed into law. That's why you have overtime after 40 hours in a given week.

That's because the private sector screws up everything they put their fingers on. For example why do you think OSHA was formed? Because people ended going to work and getting injured and/or killed due to unsafe practices in some cases all in the name of increased profits.

Medicare (hmmm another one of those socialist programs) was formed because it was felt that we shouldn't throw the elderly under the bus due to their age and being unable to afford medical benefits and left to suffer and eventually die.

Consumer protection was formed because it was felt that unscrupulous businessmen shouldn't be able to rip off consumers or conduct switch and bait conduct. Again, the private sector is unable to police its own. Hence you have to do something to protect consumers.

There is a reason why these Departments were formed by the government. The private sector--in many cases--is unable to police it's own.

Of course, that's why our Constitutional Rights/Freedoms/Free-Markets system provides for sensible regulation.

I think Dems should have an opportunity to record some votes on these Socialist ideas being pushed by the Neo-Left

Roads once thought to be strictly a government role, now have private firms maintaining them. Seems state run programs cost too much...

I have noticed that when you can't actually respond to the facts that destroy your vision of the dear leader, you immediately revert to butt hurt whataboutism. More anecdotal evidence of snowflakery in trumpland I guess.

Fact free memes. Seems to be the biggest source of news in trumpland, eclipsing even Fox.

You're the one going on about our President's personal vanity. Did you really think that after throwing that mud at us that no one was going to mention your clown's fake eyebrows?

No, it's happening in red states because the crooked politicians want to grease the palm of construction company contributors. And it's turning out that the cost is much greater.

Rassmussen is the ONLY poll that has ever had trump at 50%+. It is the right wing outlier, just like there are left wing ones. That' is why a poll of polls give a more accurate representation.

But I get how you gotta try.

You think I care about his friggin eyebrows?

But I get how you would equate lack of character and narcissism with eyebrows.

Gotta say, you are getting more and more absurd in your kneejerks.

You are going to talk about the "issues" of someone else's leader when yours wears fake eyebrows and not expect it to be noted?

When the point is movement AFTER the SOTU, and your average includes 80% polls taken before the SOTU, it doesn't, Silly!
