Because the BLOTUS has a history of attempting to obstruct justice and therefore he is extremely likely to do the same thing again if there was anything incriminating in those records.

The warrant was issued based upon the likelihood that incriminating documentation would be destroyed if any other means were used to obtain it.

I said that before, the FBI never raids people accusex of minor stuff like lying on a home equity application or FEC violation. It just never happens, let alone to lawyers.

It's yet another proof of a witch hunt and fishing expedition, getting desperate at that.

Ok. My comments have been singularly focused on what was implied in the OP.

Cohen could be a total scumbag. That doesn't mean anyone he represented should be subject to violations of their rights and privileges. Fruit of the poisonous tree is a well understood concept.

Lots of examples of no-knock raids for people involved in money laundering. Given Cohen's history, that is a distinct possibility.

"Being in their possession" does not violate his attorney client privilege. Try again.

Where is the home equity in this case? That's right, there is none. See how easy that was to prove you were lying? You are talking about something that has nothing to do with Cohen and Trump. Keep tossing that spaghetti around boss.

Hence the legal precautions of a taint team.

Let me know when you can find an example of Trump's attorney client privilege being violated. The taint team has the legal obligation to protect his rights. If they try to present evidence that Trump feels should be excluded because it is protected by attorney client privilege, then a court will rule on that issue.

It is not for revenue seeking media outlets to decide the law.

That is the provenance of the court system.

It is reasonable for attorney's representing Trump, or any citizen in a similar situation, to seek a ruling from the court on such a matter.

The "taint" team is a representative of the very state the 4th Amendment was written to protect citizens from.

It is not an end all, nor does it nullify a citizen from seeking protection from violations of their rights.

And when the judge dismisses this petition, how will you react? Will you declare the judge improper?

Enough with your strawman. Your ignorance on these basic legal principles should raise eyebrows.

The "taint" team is not an end all. It represents the state. Are you familiar with the 4th Amendment? Perhaps you should read it sometime.

No. I'm not crippled by ignorance and bias.

If the court rules against the petition, so be it.

Of course the taint team is not the end all. If they decide that something is not protected by the attorney client privilege, then the trump team can file the appropriate lawsuit to review that decision.

But filing this petition, seeking to stop their review process altogether before trump can personally review it? No, that is a dumb decision because it is unlikely to win, it creates a public perception that he is afraid of the investigation, and it potentially creates a whole host of issues for his own justice department going forward.
