What price will the World pay if a POTUS falls off his perch?

An American president dying 30 days before the election would send the world into an unpredictable uncertainty. Maybe not full scale constitutional crisis, but in the neighborhood. It would be better, frankly, if he dies after losing the election. (I'm not advocating this; speaking about the office, not the man,) it would bring more stability.

I wish a COVID death on nobody. My thoughts on Trump are completely irrelevant.

This guy, (Trump), has utterly careless with this illness, and has insisted it is a "nothing-burger", the "sniffles", a "hoax", it will be gone 6 months ago- 5 months ago-4, 3, 2 , 1 month, last week, this week, "Biden was a panic-driven whatever" on Monday, so much more.

Now he is in the top doctors in the top hospital, paid for by the taxpayers, he should be paying for it himself, no sick time, his underlings should be suing him personally for any health conditions.

What a worthless leader. He's no better than a drug addict.

You don't believe the president of the United States is entitled to partake in the benefits given to the POTUS? Does that go for all presidents, or just the presidents you don't like?

Trump and his degenerate family put everyone at the debate at risk! Refused to wear masks even though they were required. Trump showed up late and wasn’t tested.

This was good stuff from a demented mental bloke who allegedly needs a shot up the arze to function. Watch the start and ignore the commentary. This is leadership stuff from such a loser, Biden.

I also see that 'Alternative Facts' Conway now has the nasty. Gee, far too many rallies where there was no social distancing and no masks. Ye reap what ye sow. Simple as that.

I have been listening to him and his Republicans talk about people who aren't staying in best of health, who do risky behavior, who are causing personal harm (and everyone else), they should be punished.

Yes, a POTUS should get the benefits unless he is abusing the privilege. He is supposed a regular American, not a King or abuser.

He is an office. It's a very important distinction. At noon on his successor's inauguration, I probably agree with you.

Not at all. The road map in that case is very clear. Pence takes over. He then needs the Republican endorsement to be their candidate and the election goes ahead. It would be a very testing scenario if POTUS died on the eve of an election.

Yes. There is a syllabus. That does not mean it won't be a crisis. Americans get screwed up when a president elect wins, but loses the total votes by each state. They cannot grasp the concept. It's anti-American, yet, they claim American-ship. If Trump dies in the next four weeks, chaos, will ensue. Bet that.

I prefer a POTUS who didn't give himself COVID!

Studies show that while wearing a mask will reduce your chances of catching the virus by about 65%, they do a far greater job of preventing one from spreading the virus. Simply put, when you inhale and your mask catches the virus particles around you, those particles still remain on the outside of your mask, so there is still a significant risk of the virus entering your body, especially if you are regularly touching the front of your mask when you try to adjust it, and then touching your face

If the virus is already in your body however, and you wear a mask, those particles that your masks catches remain on the inside of your mask, and are less of a threat to the people around you. According to studies on the subject, you are 90% less likely to spread the virus to someone else when you wear a mask. Yes, masks will reduce your chances of catching the virus(by about 65%), but they do a far greater job at preventing you from spreading the virus (by about 90%)

Let me put it to you this way, doctors who perform surgery wear masks, not so much to protect themselves, but to protect their patients. This is again because when you exhale, the particals in your breath that could potentially be harmful to other people mostly remain on the inside of your mask. It's not magic, it's science, which is why doctors have been using masks as a means of keeping their patients safe for so long

I don't expect you to be the kind of person to take the time to actually study the research that has been conducted on the subject matter by medical experts, but here's a video for you if you are willing to take the time to educate yourself (which I do not believe you are)

Your “unified assault” on the virus would never have happened even if that drunken hag Hillary had won in 2016, not with 50 different states composed of 50 different state governments all doing their own thing. Two liberal strongholds, California and New York, both of their governors thanked Trump for his response to the pandemic. Remember when Trump tried to say that he had “total authority” over state decisions back in April? Yeah, the U.S. Constitution doesn’t allow that kind of thing from the Presidency. So much for your “unified assault” pipe dream.

Lol...that might ring more true if half the people whining now about how trump is being treated disrespectfully weren’t the same ones dancing on RBG’s deathbed and rushing to ram through a replacement even before her funeral and after their shameful treatment of Garland during Obama’s last year in office.
And if anyone actually gave a rat’s ass about the ‘presidency’ as opposed to the man, they would certainly not be supporting a deplorable character who has soiled the presidency with his disgusting demagoguery for 4 years.
    The hypocrisy is astounding.

Just about every country that took the pandemic seriously.
    Check it out.
The worst outcomes came from countries led by idiots and reactionary ideologues like bolsonaro, johnson and trump.
