For some reason, our year-long project analyzing, categorizing and tracking every false or misleading claim by President Trump had seemed like quite a burden in the past month. Well, the numbers are in and now we know why: In the past 35 days, Trump has averaged an astonishing nine claims a day.

The total now stands at 1,628 claims in 298 days, or an average of 5.5 claims a day. That puts the president on track to reach 1,999 claims by the end of his first year in office, though he obviously would easily exceed 2,000 if he maintained the pace of the past month. (Our full interactive graphic can be found here.) As regular readers know, the president has a tendency to repeat himself — often. There are now at least 50 claims that he has repeated three or more times.

Trump’s most repeated claim, uttered 60 times, was some variation of the statement that the Affordable Care Act is dying and “essentially dead.” The Congressional Budget Office has said that the Obamacare exchanges, despite well-documented issues, are not imploding and are expected to remain stable for the foreseeable future. Indeed, healthy enrollment for the coming year has surprised health-care experts.

Trump also repeatedly takes credit for events or business decisions that happened before he took the oath of office — or had even been elected. Fifty-five times, he has touted that he secured business investments and job announcements that had been previously announced and could easily be found with a Google search.

The buffoon has been on a roll, for his entire life. The most prolific pathological liar I've ever seen in public or private life - there is no one else even close to this moron.....;)

It is truly embarrassing in more than one way. Knowing the rest of the world sees this man as the representation of my country and cannot take us seriously anymore. And also knowing a minority of our citizenry finds this to be a good thing and worship a uncouth moronic buffoon.

I would like to say your undying, ball-chugging support of a complete and utter piece of excrement like Donnie is admirable, but that would not really be true. It is just a sad indicator of the pathetic nature of a ball-chugger's life.

LOL, the Washington Compost claiming that the truth is a lie. Obamacare is costing more and more and eventually it will implode unless the new HHS secretary can somehow make it work.

How about a reality check here? For clearly one is in order...

Americans have an old saw which says...in regards to a politician, if their lips are moving, they are lying. SO, my question is, why have the trump hating crowd conveniently forgot this old saw? So of course trump being a politician, will lie. There is nothing new here at all, and yet all of a sudden the hatred of trump has given the democrats a really big case of amnesia. And this is the kind manner of expressing a fact. One could be less kind and say that they have conveniently, and with intellectual dishonesty, intentionally chose amnesia in order to stay on course in hating trump.

So of course a politician, including trump will lie to us. So stop acting like he is unusual in this respect. And remember that old saw of truth. If a politician's mouth is moving, he is lying. This in no way justifies his lies, but at least it does put it into context and keeps one out of the Hypocrisy column.

Remember how the right side crowd called Pres. Obama, the Liar in Chief, for 8 years? So remember the old saw. Or not. lol

Trump just happens to be the President and is a very poor one.

"The Congressional Budget Office has said that the Obamacare exchanges, despite well-documented issues, are not imploding and are expected to remain stable for the foreseeable future."

So who is making the false claim? Trump or the Congressional Budget Office? And where are the facts or documents you read to determine your claim? Other than the sheer word of the Congressional Budget Office. I only ask because it seems that whatever or whoever Obama was dealing with, he seems to remain perfect and innocent of any wrong doing. Even getting Comey from the FBI to cover for him. The IRS scandal was covered up as well. Fast and Furious, Benghazi (who's families that lost their loved one have still went unjustified), Hillary emails, most certainly Obama was in the know, it would be foolish to assume otherwise, and would only show ignorance on his part if he didn't know.

Is there a civil war among politicians and or political parties within Washington? Most certainly! So it will be very difficult to cipher through the lies and deceptions, for both parties do so. I guess the true ignorance is among the American people, who divide themselves with anger and hatred among the two parties, as opposed to coming together and demanding more truth from our leaders. Enough with this "classified" or "top secret" bs. It is only "classified" or "top secret" to cover their asses, for the truth (classified & top secret), is the only thing worth fighting for, now how can we do that if it is held from us?

But it's okay because according to Trump if the stock market is up then it means he's doing a good job, lol.

There are two camps that appear to be completely oblivious to reality. I get it from both sides when I rip on Trump I have friends that accuse me of being a Hillary supporter and when I occasionally defend Trump I am accused of being a Trumpster. As you said a great many of us do not like either of them.

No matter how much I dislike Trump I will defend him on issues that I think he gets unfairly maligned for such as his speech after the Charlottesville incident or some of his foreign policy regarding supporting our allies such as Japan and South Korea.

Regarding the OP I think that number is low and I don't see any mention of his Tweets which would easily exponentially increase that count. :p

What has Trump done that effects your life? Do you "need" the president to survive? How could you possibly make it in life, if your choice of president fails to win the presidency? WOW! Why do people feel that government is what runs their life, or why do they allow it?

In general I don't care who the president is because they don't have a direct impact on my life. However, in this case what bothers me is that there are so many people out there who don't realize what a buffoon he is. So for me it's less about fretting over the impact he's having(or not) and more about encouraging voters to put a little more thought into who they nominate and elect. A significant number of Trump voters were manipulated or conned into giving this social reject very real government power and authority. If they couldn't see the Trump con then they will easily miss future cons that really do affect their liberty and livelihood.

No, Obama is the one that best fits that description. He very well could be the "father of lies," if you know who that is. Even though I am a republican, of course don't know what that means today, politicians only hide behind the name/title, same as democrats. The definition of both is far more similar than we are divided. So as a "constitutionalist", I will not argue that Trump most certainly has his list of flaws, though in regards to the opposition, the same could be said.

The real problem is "why" are these candidates the only America has to offer? For if this is it, then it only shows the lifestyle and deeds of Americans. Perhaps we should re-examine our "principals".

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

If we are divided on principals, there is nothing that can be done to overcome anger, hatred, and division. For a house divided cannot stand. Principals are literally, "everything".

Actually if Trump stepped in, and all the sudden the stock market falls dramatically, than the people is going to blame Trump. But if the market rises, than it's not Trump. It's literally a no win situation for any president, because of the ignorance of the American people, and their allegiance to their political corrupt parties, of whom are filled with nothing but lies and deceptions.

Yeah, I meant to hit reply on AtsamattU's post ("But it's okay because according to Trump if the stock market is up then it means he's doing a good job, lol."), I proceeded to read yours first, and hit reply on yours in ignorance so to speak.

The market crashed under George W. Bush. Do you really blame him for that? The Dow Jones Index literally doubled in value under Barak Obama. Shouldn't Trump and his supporters love him for it?

The ACA woes are directly related to Trump.

He's done everything possible to crash the resilient program that's providing healthcare to millions of poor and elderly.

Yes, there was a simple point that I was making. Because in reality, the president has nothing to do with the markets. That's all controlled by the banking cartels, who actually owns the president/kings of all nations, for all nations are in debt to the banking cartels. Which is why banks love wars so much, both sides (or as many involved in the war), go into debt with banks. Using financial warfare is what they (banks) do best.

What we are watching is nothing more than a scripted movie. With each politician playing their roles. Within Washington, by definition, there are no republicans or democrats, they hide behind the names as they work together behind the curtain.
