President Trump is sly, like a fox. He knows that if people start believing in an economic recovery, strongly enough, then it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It will happen! So, don't listen to the worry-warts and their naysaying and predictions of doom.

Prior to COVID, President Trump got record low unemployment, and grew the economy, and put off a recession. People were feeling good. And they will feel good again.

Democrats hate the idea of an economic recovery. It would be the the worse thing that could happen to them.

I can guarantee there will be no economic recovery by the November election. Too many businesses have already permanently closed their doors.

Around where I live there are many places going out of business, but it wasn't from the pandemic. The owners are selling their businesses and going into retirement.

Meanwhile, just before the pandemic hit, many investors were out there looking for properties to buy as an investment into new businesses.

45* got a marginally increasing economy through massive deficit spending and fed intervention.
Manufacturing was in a full recession prior to COVID

The only people that believe that everything was great prior to COVID also believe trump is an honest and self made “christian”.

COVID was a great scapegoat for his failures though, just like “voter fraud” and “deepstate” will be when he lose in November

That's a downer. Don't be a negative nancy. Such talk is a self-fulfilling prophecy. They say things will be bad and then they are. That's why Democrats have such marginal growth of the economy when it's their turn to lead.

And, bringing up "Christian" is completely wrongheaded about me. I'm not concerned in any way about "Christian" identity. I'm an Athiest. ;)

Trump isn't that smart. We can't truly recover without dealing with the virus first. We can try the psychological tricks after that.

    Reality is reality.

The reality is that Trump has a negative GDP for the last two quarters which puts us in a technical recession.

The reality is that we have over 10% unemployment and probably will be close to that at election time.

The reality is that the National Debt has increased close to $7 trillion in the last 3 1/2 years (compare to $8.9 trillion under the 8 years of Obama). And that printing fake money is the only way we are keeping the stock market anywhere close to
positive numbers. The reality is that keeping the wealthy happy in this country has bankrupt this country.

Absolutely, now is the time to buy, everything is for sale and there's a lot of bargains. Investing now is going to pay off next year like the Google IPO. This time next year bars and restaurants will be going full tilt and the big chains will be mostly gone. Small unique establishments are going to explode. Already many smaller restaurants with a following have gotten a blank check on expanding outdoor seating and business is better than ever. Micro Breweries have latched onto this and beer gardens are becoming popular. I have friends that are planning to open a dozen urban drive in theaters around the US, I wish I could afford to invest in that. They're buying up defunct shopping malls, leveling them and setting up drive in megaplexes. These venues will also offer televised sports events and concerts. As they say every dark cloud has a silver lining and America is number one in re-inventing itself.

Yeah, but Americans remember all the promises Trump delivered on and all of Obama's bullshit. Trump is going to get re-elected no doubt about it. If you honestly think Biden has a chance you are going to be disappointed......AGAIN!!!!!!

Americans will ask a simple question: are they financially better off in 2020 than they were in 2015? Most will say, "no".

Wait till the GDP numbers come out for the second quarter of 2020 - they will show that largest drop since the Great Depression.
    That's simple reality.

The president has made a huge economic mistake. He has not followed the advice of experts on fighting covid 19. As long as the virus is a significant threat the economy will continue to struggle, people will worry, and he will look like an indecisive failure. This makes reelection very difficult. He would have been much better off if he had led the U.S. through a tough fight against the virus, we were now coming out the other side and seeing our economy poised to rebound in July and August like the economies of Europe. I see a poster in my mind that would have shown a portrait of the president in front of a flowing American flag wearing a mask with the caption, "Who is that masked man?" That might have rallied the country, but he and his supporters would rather divide. He will have a great deal of trouble if the death toll continues to rise and the economy continues to struggle. Overwhelmed er's are not good for his image.

Can you imagine if from February every time Trump was seen in public......... he wore a mask.

Leading the country thru a Pandemic ! Pushing social distancing !

Trump could have sold masks that said " MAGA wear your mask ! "

Instead of being a country that failed around the world under Trump Leadership ............ America could have set a example of Greatness

Trump could have easily dominated 2020 Election.

Instead Trump thought the smarter thing to do would be spread misinformation and ignoring the Greatest Threat in 50 years

How was the economy good for when most average Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and don't even have $400 savings? How was the economy good when average Americans have healthcare insurance tied to their jobs? How was the economy good when Wall Street does not even remotely reflect Mains Street? How was the economy good when it funneling money to the top until income inequality is destroying the middle class? How is the economy good when the USA's upward mobility went from number one to number thirty in the world? SMFH

uh, people aren't stupid, they know the economy tanking wasn't Trump's fault. Every liberal is a Monday morning quarterback on the Corona virus and what should have been done, the fact of the matter is the blame for the pandemic is entirely on China. It originated in China, China was negligent in reporting anything regarding the virus so by the time it was discovered here it was already too late. Globally any reaction was a day late and a dollar short and many people died because of China's criminal delay. To blame any of the consequences of China's deliberate, irresponsible inaction is just plain stupid. Why is it liberals glom onto even the most irrelevant negative and try to spin it into Trump's fault? TDS is real and those affected by it really need to get help.

He is our leader, you think he would at least try to set a tone even if he chooses to do nothing. If one does nothing one can blame everyone else.

Trump's strong economy is a myth that doesn't stand up to any serious analysis.

With the exception of a low unemployment rate, mainly due to the fact that millions of Americans had two jobs to make ends meet, Trump had only very average results from 2017 to early 2020.

    - GDP growth = 2.3%/year

    - National Dept = from 97% (2017) to 105% (2020)

    - His stupid trade wars have slashed growth by at least 1%.

    - Inflation has remained low because there has been no growth in domestic consumption.

    - Tax cuts to large corporations have not translated into reinvestment.

Probably why so many Republican Groups are running ads against Trump

They know he is damaging America with his Chaotic Leadership on top of destroying the economy by his mishandling the Virus

If Trump is not responsible for anything, there is no reason to keep him as President. He's an empty suit.

And the rational ones will know that the price of flattening the curb was the economy. And that Virus came from China and would have been far worse if the Democrats had been in control.
