    100 years ago the Army air corps was part of the Army-and only had a few thousand people in it.

    "Aliens" already control space. It would be foolish to think that we can defend against them who appear to be benevolent. Perhaps the goal is to control or destroy space efforts by other countries on this planet?

    I do not. A deficit results when spending exceeds taxation.

    I'm saying I don't mind a deficit that results from lowering taxes below equilibrium.

    I see it as nothing special. Basically it is organizing all of our military research and capabilities that are already in that area into a single organization. And it is like the Marine Corps and Navy, simply another branch off of the Air Force.

    But of course because the President is involved a great many people are loosing their damned minds. And most have not even bothered to try and do a single second's worth of research. Like they always seem to do, they just scream and yell, and throw temper tantrums. But if the last President had done the same thing, they would have been demanding statues be erected in his honor, and his face be put on all of the new unit patches.

    The pure hysteria involved in this is what I am finding the most interesting. I bet if you published a report that said the President urges everybody to go out and buy a case of toilet paper, most who scream at this would insist that the President is ordering the destruction of forests, that he is heavily invested in the "Toilet Paper Industrial Complex", and that we should all start using corn cobs instead.

    As much as for 8 years I ridiculed those with ODS, they are 1,000 times more sane in comparison to those with TDS.

    We should probably go back to that; same with the Navy and Marines. Many of the bureaucracies again overlap, and in some cases endanger troops and strategies. We have plenty of funny hats that allegedly make troopers feel 'special n stuff' and cooks wearing camo and berets already.
