U.S military flights have stopped to refuel At Prestwick Airport 629 times spending $11 Million since October of 2017,considerably more than ever spent there before.Coincidentally??Prestwick Airport is 20 miles from Trump Turnberry. On at least one occasion five U.S.Air Force guards chose to travel the 20 miles to the Trump hotel bypassing many less expensive hotels in favor of the much more expensive Trump hotel. In fact the military meal allowance did not cover the meal bill at the Trump hotel. The House Committee has now requested the Defense Department to supply them with an accounting of all military spending at both Prestwick Airport and at the Trump Turnberry hotel and golf resort. Both Prestwick Airport and Trump Turnberry had both been losing considerable amounts of money prior to Dirty Donald assuming office as president.
The US Military has been using Prestwick Airport for decades. They were a frequent stop while I was assigned to the 21st AF Operations Center in the late 1970s. If I remember correctly, there was a US submarine base in that general area.
How many times did you stay at a hotel owned by the president - the same president who refused to put his business interests into a blind trust
The real problem will arise if our Commander in Thief turns out to be directing our defense department to utilize his properties.
245 U.S. military flights refueled at Prestwick so far in 2019 as opposed to the 45-50 in pre Dirty Donald presidency days?????Something stinks in Scotland!!!
The Scotsman is now reporting that at least 60 U.S.military personnel had stayed at Dirty Donalds golf resort hotel on at least 4 separate occasions since last year.If that isn't a violation of the Emoluments clause then nothing is.
No it doesn't. It prohibits a president from accepting gifts from overseas. It does not prohibit in any way a president owning and operating a for profit business while in office. Just off hand both President's Washington and Jefferson owned businesses that operated at a profit while they were in office. Including conducting business overseas.
