You presented a secondary opinion piece. I gave you the keys to the truth about Canadian health care. Its not my fault you are too lazy to take advantage of the keys and open the door to the truth. I led the mule to the water, but I can't make it drink.

nope. I presented an article which sourced dozens of official figures and other references.
no you didn't. You gave me a link to a home page. That is meaningless.

    Your claim stands refuted.

Why is it funny? It is true. They can set premiums and reimbursements. They can force doctors and hospitals to sign contracts, accepting low payments if they want to continue treating patients and companies insured by them. They have even told my husband, doctor, that he shouldnt sign up for certain plans because reimbursements will be lower than what medicare pays. Believe me nonregulation means they control everything regarding what they will pat, who you can see. I have had them deny paying for my prescription without any notice. They currently don't like covering extended release drugs! Why? Do you know? They can do whatever they want.

Health insurance was the only type of insurance not covered under the Sherman Act. Or the McCarran Ferguson act. That form of insurance is still exempt.

Do you work in health care? Obviously not as you have no idea about what destroyed it.

Actually, obamacare didn't stop private insurance rate hikes and provided the companies payments of tax dollars to reimburse their losses because it was already known they would lose money on these policies and many of the Obama are policies had high premiums and it is difficult to know exactly what care and medications are covered. Most insureds not finding out until they attempt to use their insurance. With my years of experience I could go on and on. Would take to long. Better to answer any questions people have.

They can't force doctors to contract with them. If they could, why would health insurance companies hire a sales force to get providers to sign up? They would just order them.

Ever heard of the federal Sherman Act and other federal laws that regulate insurance?

There is no sales force that works for insurance companies. There are X number of companies in each State/County. If a hospital or doctor/surgeon wants to see patients covwered by these insurers they have to apply and accept the insurers terms or be considered out of network. Most recent grads just starting out cannot even get approved and that is why they are forces to work for someone else.
As the reimbursements and uncovered services decrease, more providers drop out. Each policy is different so the provider may accept many of the insurers policies but not others, where the reimbursement is lower than cost of treatment

If you are not a provider, you should do your homework before giving consumers the wrong information.

Yes but I don't see how that applies to this topic.

OK you are extremely uninformed. This doesn't seem to be the topic for you.

It’s pretty simple to compared the overhead of Medicare to that of private insurance.

Private insurance is 8 times as expensive......because it’s for profit. Even republicans, before their morality was bought out by insurance companies, knew universal healthcare was cheaper.
Every other free country in the world has it. But we have the Republican Party. They would rather 30k people die each year for lack of insurance then give back their donations to private insurance companies.

First, I reject politifact as a source, its a liberal sight and biased. That's been shown repeatedly in and out of the forum.

By whom ? Those who watch Fox exclusively ?
