This is the topic .. you were going on about how the state should not be involved in matters relating to a woman's decision with respect to an unintended pregnancy - or any pregnancy for that matter. I completely agree with you.

The problem however is that in other threads you contradict this position.

Quote my contradiction while you are answering the pending question in the appropriate thread.

You really don’t get it. Because the woman wants to carry out her pregnancy to term you conclude that it means she is against choice for women. Don’t use the term pro life, use the term anti-choice.

I'm talking about you and your support for the law making such late term on demand abortion illegal which makes you pro life.

It has always been illegal. You’re just playing around now. Women do not choose to have an abortion when they have a healthy viable fetus and they are in good health. It’s just one of your silly strawman argument

You are for it being illegal so at that point you officially and unequivocally become pro life as per the OP. I know it kills you to admit that but there's no denying the reality of it.

If you want to play with words be my guest. I will never deny a woman a choice of what to do with her body.

Do you support the law that you mentioned that makes late term abortions illegal?

So now you don't support law making late term abortion illegal? Pick a story and stick with it.

I do not support a law making late term abortion illegal. If my life is in danger I will have a late term abortion but you would rather the woman die

    This post:
...implies, intentionally or not, that you support abortion being illegal in late term unless the mother's life is in peril. And even if such was not your intention, is not this law not a contridiction of the pro choice stance? Despite the fact that that less than .5% (guestimation, no real number support) of women who made it that far would do so, does not bodily autonomy give her that right to expel from her body that which she does not want any more in it?

See post #288. You can't have it both ways here Renee. You said what you said and now you try to run from it. This conversation with you is just getting to be a silly waste of my time. Have a nice day.

Your "Lifenews" website lies. It says "The majority of Americans (56%) also believe that abortion should not be legal". That's not true.

"A majority of Americans support Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide, a new Quinnipac University poll found.

The poll found that 63 percent of respondents agree with the court decision, compared with 31 percent who don't.

"...support for the court’s landmark ruling in Roe v. Wade has hit an all-time high.

A new poll from NBC News and the Wall Street Journal finds that 71 percent of American voters believe that the decision, which established a woman’s legal right to an abortion, should not be overturned. Just 23 percent say the ruling should be reversed.

Renee presented NO CONTRADICTIONS in what you referenced. It's very plain to me and I'm wondering why you don't see it.

And once again you completely miss the point of the OP. Slowly but surely those pro choice pro Roe Wade people turn pro life as the pregnancy matures and finally by the third trimester are overwhelmingly pro life including our Renee who supports current law against late term on demand abortion. " Its very plain to me and I'm wondering why you don't see it.".

She may or may not. A lot depends on Josephwalker and what he's actually saying. Given a couple of responses he's made to me, I don't think he asking about the legal stance of people but their personal views. Some people are personally pro-life while politically/legally pro-choice.

That said, I'm trying to figure out if Renee is being contradictory or not. At one point she noted a law that made elective, as opposed to needed to save the mother's life, abortion in the late third trimester, and seem to say he was alright with that. If so then she is contradictory, as to be pro choice would.mean elective up to the point of birth.

Something can't be dead for 8 months and then miraculously jolt itself alive in the ninth month.

It seems you are pointing out the obvious now vs. making the false implications of the OP. Of course people have more emotional attachment to an 8 month old fetus than a mutli-celled Zygote. Most people also enjoy cake more than raw eggs.

What you don’t realize is doctors cannot perform abortions at the moment of birth for no reason...no women does that..strawman

"False implications of the OP"? Maybe you need to read it again.
