    Their "crime" ?
They went undercover, pretending to be an organ procurement company, and approached senior Planned Parenthood employees, using a secret videotape recorder to reveal that the organization did indeed sell fetal organs, despite Planned Parenthood denying that it was happening.

    November 2019

A federal jury awarded Planned Parenthood nearly $2.3 million in damages after finding that anti-abortion activist David Daleiden and his group broke federal and state laws when they secretly recorded employees of the organization.

    https://www.news5cleveland.com/news...awarded-nearly-2-3-million-over-secret-videos

The jury was in San Francisco.

The award is designed to bankrupt the Pro-Life organization The Center for Medical Progress.

Daleiden denounced the court decision in a statement:
"Justice was not done today in San Francisco," he said in a statement. "While top Planned Parenthood witnesses spent six weeks testifying under oath that the undercover videos are true and Planned Parenthood sold fetal organs on a quid pro quo basis, a biased judge with close Planned Parenthood ties spent six weeks influencing the jury with pre-determined rulings and suppressing the video evidence, all in order to rubber-stamp Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit attack on the First Amendment."

Daleiden himself was ordered to pay $870,000 in punitive damages to Planned Parenthood.

    https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/Planned-Parenthood-wins-2-2-million-verdict-14838921.php

Previously, on August 31, Judge Orrick found Daleiden and his attorneys, Steve Cooley and Brentford Ferreira, liable for the payment of $195,359 to compensate the National Abortion Federation for legal fees and increased security for "expenses incurred as a result of the violation of my Preliminary Injunction Order". Orrick wrote that Daleiden's attorneys, Cooley and Ferreira, were included in the sanctions intended to ensure "current and future compliance" with his order.

It looks like they're trying to do the same thing to him that they did to that Oregon bakery that refused to bake the cake.

    Corrupt judges.

Abortion supporters claim there is "no evidence", but look what happens to those who try to get and reveal the evidence.

"Corrupt judges" ...LOL, ya , right.

Look what happens to those who BREAK THE LAW:

"""anti-abortion activist David Daleiden and his group broke federal and state laws """
"""Daleiden himself was ordered to pay $870,000 in punitive damages to Planned Parenthood.""

""A federal jury awarded Planned Parenthood nearly $2.3 million in damages""

And without breaking the law, people like you would claim they have no proof.

    :) One shouldn't NEED to break a law to get evidence....police don't …:)

And if one breaks the law that clearly indicates they have no integrity and would lie to get what they want ….criminals are liars.

That's such a disingenuous comparison to even try to make. You know very well that police are given special privileges to go grab evidence that ordinary people are not, when they get a judge to sign off on a warrant.

No it doesn't. Some of the laws are corrupt, and designed to conceal wrongdoing, to try to keep the public from knowing.

    From the Washington Post:

""""The California legislature is near final approval of a bill that would make it a crime, punishable by a jail sentence, to carry out and distribute undercover video or audio stings against Planned Parenthood and other health-care groups.

The measure was inspired by two California antiabortion activists """

LOL! Thanks for the inspiration, Anti-Choicers ! LOL

""who made undercover videos of themselves trying to buy fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood. The project prompted multiple investigations by Congress and states.

The bill was approved by the California state Senate and has broad support in the Assembly, which passed an earlier version and is expected to concur in several Senate amendments before sending it to Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown.
California law, like laws in other states, already bars use of an electronic device to listen in on or record people without their permission.

The new measure, authored by Assembly member Jimmy Gomez with the backing of Planned Parenthood, protects health-care providers in particular and would prohibit the intentional disclosure of such recordings, video or audio, without the consent of all parties “in any forum, including, but not limited to, Internet Web sites and social media, or for any purpose …”
Violation would be punishable by a fine, a one-year jail term or both for a first offense and by a potentially greater fine, a one-year jail term or both for subsequent offenses.

“After the video smear campaign last summer, we experienced a ninefold increase in violence against our providers and our health centers,” Beth Parker, chief legal counsel for Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, told the Los Angeles Times.""""

So the FALSE charges against PP were to PROMOTE violence....nice going Anti-Choicers who CLAIM ALL life is precious...

Then the Anti-Choicer criminals should have reported the "crime" and let the authorities handle it :) They didn't and look at the LOVELY PRICE THEY HAVE TO PAY :)

We have courts for that....and attorneys and laws....these Anti-Choice criminals took the lazy lying way

In other words, we should suppress the truth, because if the truth gets out some people might react to it badly?

The authorities in that part of the country would never have "handled it".

Most likely, any state judge who signed off on such a warrant against Planned Parenthood would have had their career jeopardized.
And that is if there even is a judge there that would want this to be investigated, which is highly doubtful.

Look how the state legislature reacted after the fact. They obviously don't want this stuff coming to light.

:) They DID handle it....it was a bunch of crap and they knew it :)

As usual, no proof , just a wild imagining ...

The proper authority should investigate, but what if they refuse to?

You realize your same argument you are attempting to use here could be used to suppress independent journalism and freedom of the press?

Well, because they did break the law, the TRUTH has been revealed.

Something many pro-choicers are not happy about.

You realizing that by saying those type of things, you're only making the case against your own side of the argument?

Maybe the reason pro-choicers are so unhappy about this is because it makes it so much harder to keep denying now.

If there was nothing to investigate then those on your side wouldn't be so angry.

The state legislature wouldn't have passed another law right after the fact to make what these pro-life activists did extra-illegal.

Planned Parenthood would have just told the truth, and there would have been no reason for activists to secretly tape record them.

You consider them criminals if they do anything that jeopardizes a woman's right to choose.

Even when it is just INFORMATION.

You break the law you pay the price

This operation was DISHONEST. It was ENTRAPMENT designed to spread a false narrative Hopefully this decision will stop further false flag operations.

I love how the so many support illegality when it suits but decry justice.

Let’s look at the broader picture - especially in the days of the internet

A video surfaces purportedly showing you standing on a street corner selling Crack. Only after extensive investigation is it found that this was a doctored video and you in fact were innocent. Should you be compensated for the loss of your reputation? Should those who misrepresented you be Punished?

    LOL, what's "extra illegal " ??

That is the silliest, most illogical statement on this issue...
