Hypocrisy, thy name is Rep. Tim Murphy.

We already knew that the Pennsylvania Republican had engaged in an extramarital affair, after it came out in his mistress's divorce records. But things got much worse for Murphy on Tuesday: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that text messages indicate he told his mistress to get an abortion when they had a pregnancy scare.

I'm still waiting for the day when someone point-blank asks Donald Trump how many abortions he's paid for?

In all fairness trump did say he was Pro-Choice....but to be realistic, he also changes his tiny mind on a whim every few minutes....so who knows (and that's Very Poor leadership) :)

On the flipside, couldn't you also say that he's not stubborn and inflexible?

You really he'd pay for them?
I heard one time he made his date pay for her own dinner.

Republican politicians are often hypocritical about family values, Christianity and abortion.

Reps don't have a monopoly on hypocrisy. All politicians project an image and I would say that in most cases, (Perhaps all) the person behind it is nothing like the image they portray. They are all hypocrites and it is just a matter of who is better at not getting caught.

Republicans are the pro death party. Their imperialistic terrorist wars in the Middle East have killed over one million innocents. Republican death panels are in every corner of the world.

Nope , but this is the abortion forum and abortion is the topic .....and since it's the slimey Repubs who are in the forefront of taking away women's rights by having abortion banned it's especially rotten....

BUT on a lighter note it does show how rotten and two faced these slimballs are..."OH, Abortion BAD" but if my girlfriend/wife/daughter/grandma needs an abortion OKEY DOKEY THEN ! Bring it on!!!"""

    .

Politicians can be as rotten as they want but when they try to make something illegal when they fully intend to avail themselves of it , that's especially ugly and dishonest.

When they try to limit the rights of 51% of the population it's time to stop saying "oh, they all do it"...

It's like passing prohibition laws because you know you'll get the best booze cheap and make money yourself selling booze.....

There's a story from years ago about Alabama being a dry state except on the Gulf coast where politicians hung out in their favorite hotels, bars and restaurants.

Finally the state AG ordered a raid.. and that's how the law was struck down.

You are always willing to go off topic to insult republicans. Before calling them slimy, you should know that your parties hands are not slime free. Murphy is a slime ball, no doubt. He reminds me of the dems pushing gun laws while enjoying the protection of armed security.

So glad YOU didn't go off topic  You always bring up gun laws in the abortion forum...

You couldn't even address my post....

Hipocrasy from a politician. A truly groundbreaking revelation there.

I addressed your post and agreed that he is a slime ball. Since you painted all reps with a broad stroke, I just had to point out that you got some of that paint on yourself. Sorry I used only one example of hypocrisy from dems. I would list more, but it would need its own thread.

Can't address the post of mine you quoted??? Need to weasel out of the topic ? :)

...and this is about abortion ...what's the matter, can't stay on topic for a reason?

Like the hypocrisy of a Republican wanting his girlfriend to get an abortion.

BTW, I am a Democrat and own guns...I'm not "against guns" and don't know any Democrats who are.......

So , let's get back to the topic, the hypocrisy of a Republican that you can't seem to face.

So not all Republicans are Anti-Abortion?

    Then what percent ? 99.99% ?

Those turncoats better get on the Repub train!!!

If you want to list off topic hypocrisies about Democrats, go ahead ....but this IS the abortion forum so maybe use your head and go to the Political Forums..

It sure must bite that Repubs approve of abortion when it's INCONVENIENT for THEM...:)

Hiprocrasy is equal on both sides. I believe I have said that multiple times.

Then find a Democrat that wouldn't let their girlfriend have an abortion....

    THAT would be on topic!!!!

So this thread is only about abortion hipocrasy. Not about hipocrasy in general.

Again, I completely with you on this issue. The talk doesn't seem to match the walk. As long as you are not trying to make the claim that hypocrisy is a trait of republicans and not democrats. That's all.

Never said it was.....but this IS the Abortion Forum and the Republican in the OP was caught with his pants down in two ways...:)

Maybe it would be a warning to Anti-Choicers that Repub politicians don't always walk the walk....and are NOT their best hope for taking away women's rights..
