My conclusion is based on facts.
    1 ... One language
2 ... the citys of Muscovy have Russian names and often duplicate Kiev's, like New Orlean, New York duplicates the names of European cities.

3 ... 50 cities were built on the territory of the future of Muscovy, with 1090 on 1237 in a dense forest. Prior to that, there were no cities and lived there small tribes hunters. These hunters could not build so many cities in so short a time.

only imigrants could build these cities . Immigrants with Kievan Rus.

Russia is a successor of Kievan Rus, as any encyclopedia tells us. This guy Snyder is just making statements to boost his Facebook account or ytube page, whatever he has.

in this case, Petia the sodomite wanted just legitimatized his occupation plans of GDL which was officially recolonized as main rus´state (or successor) , ruler of GDL had " Kiev rus´" title - the grant prince , off name of GDL was Lithuania and Rus´ , 100s years before Muscovy renamed itself to "rossija"

    - - - Updated - - -

you are wrong of coz, Mongolian ulus juchi had nothing to do with Kievan Rus´, official successor of "Kievan Rus´" was GDL

litwin, You like to call the Muscovy (Russia) in the Mongolian language ( as the " ulus juchi") .
You can call the Muscovy in any language, even in the language of Orc or the Lilliputians. It's just funny, and nothing more.

No offence, but it's a figment of your imagination. There's no proof for that, just maybe some claims of russophobic pseudo-historians who needs boost to their petty careers, no encyclopedia proves your ridiculous statement.

to say so,......it is necessary to refute my post # 26, But this is impossible, because it is the facts.

What he said in that video is - is that Rus is a different historical entity from the modern states of Russian Federation and Ukraine. Does not changed fact that it existed there and that through historical processes at same land currently exists such states as Russian Federation and Ukraine.

Nuh-uh. Munchausen was making a charming travel fables and tales about his military service, amusing his guests with stories so enchanting, they said to almost come to life under roof of his mansion's dining room.

His manner of talking and attitude remind of other german, Paul Joseph Goebbels.

Depends on what you call a 'russian' - ethnic, or nation of citizens of Russian Federation.

More like Poland's the Slavic heartland.

More like Russians are Slavic speaking Mordvins.

Nobody cares, we are not nazy, and we live in XXI century - people do not self-identify themselves solely by their ethnic. Russians right now - are citizens of Russian Federation. Unless you plan to go into depth of russian linguistics where exist differences between terms 'русский' and 'россиянин'.

Interestingly, this famous blogger claims that the Rus were Swedes, who picked up Finns in their warbands as they swept south, in addition to the indigenous Finnic groups in northeast Europe. The Mordovins are one of the largest indigenous peoples of Russia who have historically admixed the Rus but not much with the Finns. The ancient Mordvin territory fell under Russian domination by Kievan Rus, reducing their ethnic cohesion, but not the other way around.

The idea is that Russians absorbed, and assimilated substantial amounts of Mordovin peoples.

If this were so, then the Russian language would be a lot of words from the Mordovian and Finnish.
.....no less than the Tatar's words. It is logical?
But these Mordovin"s words are absent in the Russian language. There are only a very few.

    So you're wrong.

I have discovered that Putin is directly descended from the founding family of Kievan Rus', Rurikids. Putyatin (Russian: Путятин) is the Rurikid family with princely and noble lines and this family belongs to Y-DNA haplogroup N1c1. It's likely that Putin is related to the Rurikid family as the surname Putin is a shortened form of Putyatin. Moreover, the Putyatin clan is an aristocratic family based in the Tver region, which is also Putin's hometown. Therefore, Putin's Y-DNA haplogroup is highly likely to be N1c1, a Finno-Ugric haplotype common in Finland and Russia. Putin's grandfather served as Stalin's cook by hiding his aristocratic background.

Well, that's kinda cool. Then again, there is plenty of genetic descendands of this bloodline anyway, but still cool. I have strong suspitions I have heritage coming from Cassandra of Troy, considering how people rarely believe my predictions. At least I have lots of opportunities to say 'told you so'.

Hmmm, come to think of it, I think I'm distantly related to former Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius!
