    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/10/progressive_fair_wage_pizza_restaurant_to_close.html

A non-profit group in the Roxbury section of Boston decided to fund a utopian project involving a pizza shop based on the principles of "economic justice" and "fair wages."

To no one's surprise, the business could never break even and will close at the end of the year.

Dudley Dough billed itself as "pizza with a purpose."

There is a big lesson in this failure.

A business (Dudley Dough) based on the "progressives" core values of social justice and fair wages, set in the heart of "progressive" land, in a prime location for a pizza restaurant, has failed.

To fund its social justice agenda, the business had to charge customers more than the surrounding and supposedly "unjust" eateries.

But when it came time to put their money where their mouth is, the "progressives" did not go to the place which implemented the their ideology, they went to the less expensive places which supposedly paid "unjust wages" and practiced employee and social exploitation.

    The lessons:
    1) "progressives" only want to implement their agenda with other peoples money. All their talk about having higher morals and "giving back" is just talk. When it comes time to walk the walk, they run away.

    2) "progressives" are selfish and greedy - just like everyone else. All that talk from progs about capitalism being bad, taxing the rich, wealth inequality, is just talk. It turns out, "progressives" live by the same rules of economics as everyone else, they want to keep their money.

One piazza business closes it's doors.

Trump sends four different business into bankruptcy, including an entire casino.

So is Trump a "progressive" - or is this thread built on a partisan s**thouse?

The author obviously obsessed over the “social justice” part and not other parts of the’ progressives. Yes, human rights must be upheld regardless of political affiliation, but it is not progressivism at its core.

And both parties are guilty of using other people’s money to implement their agenda. Just like you have the Brady Campaign for Gun Violence, you also have the NRA trying to push a agenda.

And lib prog policies result in lower economic growth and employment. The shop charged a higher price for it's product and went out of business with the consequent loss of jobs.

People contribute to the NRA for the purpose of advocating for safe gun policies and safe gun training programs. Taxpayer money is not involved.

Thanks for the laugh. At least we began to see signs of sanity from the NRA regarding the bump stocks.

Didn't they sort of figure this out at Plymouth, Mass., a few years ago, or was that a myth?

Thanks for displaying your ignorance. What organization runs the most gun safety courses ?? What organization advocates gun ownership by law abiding and responsible citizens ??

The very foundation of the "progressive" platform is "social justice". "progressives" shout it in everyone's face, they demand it in every meeting of the Democrat party, they shut down speeches by shouting "social justice!".

Here they had a chance to implement the ideals they shout at everybody, and they failed.

Rather than live their claimed ideals and spend an extra $1 per pizza slice in order to support a "progressive" business, they valued their $1 more than "social justice" and went to the socially "unjust" pizza place.

Its proof that "progressives" talk but don't walk the walk. In other words, they are hypocrites and liars.

The definition of progressivism, at its core, is benefitting the human condition through social, economical, political, and environmental means.

And in Boston, when they had the opportunity to live their ideology, to show the world they are what they claim to believe, they ran away. When it came to something as simple as a few extra bucks at lunch, they would not do it. A few bucks out of their own pocket is too much for "progressives" to live "social justice".

So, this is my belief on what happened. Radical liberals, lover the progressives, have taken over the Democratic Party. Sanders was closer to bring a progressive before Clinton or anyone else. The Democrats rose to power in the early 21st century is simply that of liberals. Not progressives, not socialists, but liberals. Liberals believe in social justice , progressives believe in human rights. Liberals want to tax the rich, progressives want to fully decriminalize marijuana for its medical and economical benefits.
