Attempting to rape someone constitutes attempted rape. There is an attempted rape accusation.

The accusation says they held her down against her will, covered her mouth and attempted to remove her clothes while turning up the music so that no one could hear and she had to escape.

And I can understand not believing her accusations given the timing and the he-said-she-said nature of it all. But the people saying "Even if it is true" and then playing off attempted rape as no big deal need to do some serious self reflection.

Seems unlikely. From what you posted it would more likely that they rejected everything their sadistic father stood for.

Why condemn the sons for the sins of the father? That sort of thing is what the Nazis did. A Christian German with a Jewish parent was doomed. Even a grandparent was a death sentence.

 

I don't know about you, but I remember lots of teen drinking parties back when I was a teen many years ago. They were wild and crazy. Half the stuff going on could have been called "attempted rape" by this standard. Its what happens when you mix teen hormones with freedom and alcohol. Nobody ever got raped, and the girls never stopped coming to the parties. In fact, at least half the time it was girls who were throwing the party.

 

I don't know about you, but holding women down against their will, covering their screams and forcefully stripping them could get you a bullet around here, and legally and deservedly so. But keep excusing attempted rape if you want. Playing make-believe that attempted rape is a part of normal sexual development is complete nonsense. The only "standard" I've proposed is holding down an unwilling woman, covering her screams and forcefully stripping her until she has to escape to avoid being raped. I'd hoped that wasn't a very high bar.
