The Peoples Party are organizing protests at politicians homes demanding a 'Peoples Stimulus,' a UBI, Medicare for All and subsidized wages, rents and mortgages. Meanwhile, AOC hasn't said a word about the protests. Instead she's been leading a boycott against Goya and virtue signalling about a Republican who called her a bitch. Useful distractions for Nancy Pelosi.
You're ok with this? "Despite having the most expensive health care, the United States ranks last overall among the 11 countries on measures of health system equity, access, administrative efficiency, care delivery, and health care outcomes." https://www.commonwealthfund.org/pr...e-system-has-widest-gap-between-people-higher
Inequality is the legacy of Central Banking....destroying public spaces, terrorising people at their homes will change nothing... this is exactly what the communists want, civil unrest & destruction... sure I'm ok with taser stimulus. Vote Trump if it bothers you so much, at least he is creating jobs IN America FOR America.
I am not okay with mobs going to the private property of American citizens and terrorizing them into submission. Whatever you said after that was irrelevant, because your tactics are despicable, and I am not on your side even if your cause is 100% noble and legitimate. Cut the crazy crybully crap, and then maybe we can talk about your grievances like adults.
Just because you don't agree with the cause doesn't mean your straw man is real. The same tactic was used against Occupy Wall Street.
What straw man? You literally just posted a thing about organizing protests at politicians homes. Why would you do such a thing if you don't support such tactics of intimidation?
I figured this would be quickly abandoned, It's one thing when it's just random revolution fantasies rattling around in the head, but once it gets typed out, and then called out, the mob intimidation tactics are pretty much indefensible. @Horhey! Yoohoo!
Get out of the basement and quit eating Twinkies. Your outcomes will improve tremendously. Getting the government out of our healthcare and make sure US taxpayers aren't subsidizing pharmaceuticals for other countries will take care of much of the rest. Most of the cost of drugs is in development, testing and trials, so as long as US patients pick up that tab, drug companies can allow other countries to set the pricing and only have to recoup minuscule production costs ,,,, driven lower by outsourcing to China. Who did that, BTW?
Yeah but we can see what they're doing. Everywhere this band of separatists go destruction follows. UBI is getting paid to sit on your ass. To hell with them. We don't need more neerdowel mooches. Yes I'm okay with it. If it got to the point is be okay using deadly force against these enemies of the states.
Have you ever looked into what has happened virtually every time minimum wage has been increased? Have you ever looked into what has happened virtually every time capital gains taxes have been increased to make the rich pay? Did you ever look into the cost of Obamacare to small business and the cost of healthcare? What happens when the government steps into the Mortgage Market and create a demand for 28.1 million toxic mortgages, $2.4 Trillion worth and, by virtue of backing the paper with the good faith and credit of the United States stamps the toxic paper with a AAA credit rating ,,, CUOMO ANNOUNCES ACTION TO PROVIDE $2.4 TRILLION IN MORTGAGES FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR 28.1 MILLION FAMILIES* WASHINGTON - Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo today announced a policy to require the nation's two largest housing finance companies to buy $2.4 trillion in mortgages over the next 10 years to provide affordable housing for about 28.1 million low- and moderate-income families. Cuomo said the historic action by HUD raises the required percentage of mortgage loans for low- and moderate-income families that finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac must buy from the current 42 percent of their total purchases to a new high of 50 percent - a 19 percent increase https://archives.hud.gov/news/1999/pr99-131.html You did mention OWS ,,, which was an outgrowth of how the recovery from the meltdown worked out. Oh. To finish the job Cuomo started, Pelosi and Reid raised the minimum wage in 2007, tanking Cuomo's toxic paper and sending the global economy into a tailspin. For his work as HUD director, Cuomo became NY Governor and got to kill 7500 elderly people in nursing homes by dumping COVID patients on them. Too bad people who whine about inequities and latch onto causes listen to the corrupt media and don't bother to do their own research. All this stuff is interconnected and I see you wanting more of it
I can't comment on this now, but I will be back later. I'm just putting this here so I can find my way back here later.
The only way to bring about change is for the people to revolt. At least that's the way they did it in the days of the French revolution. But do we want to change anything???
You know what? I'm a big fan of fast food and other basic "luxuries" that a capitalist economy brings us. That's why I'm cautious about these new ideas that promise a basic living for everyone. Can we keep, say, McDonald's??? Ice Cream, Pizza, and so on if we change the system???
Here here! This sort of "protest" of attacking people at their homes is...well crazy comes to mind but also dangerous. I don't know why someone would want to show up at someone's home to protest, unless they purposefully want to terrorize that person's family. The left has been pulling this stunt here and there, but if they start making a regular show of it someone's probably going to be injured.
A UBI makes up for employers not paying a living wage. It keeps people off the street, not on the couch. You can't live on just UBI money. If you don't see a problem with this then we're done here.
UBI is a libertarian idea. Milton Friedman proposed it. Not everything you don't like is communism. The Conservative Case for a Guaranteed Basic Income
not a fan of this tactic because I don't want to protest the wives the children etc. Protest politicians at their office or wherever they go to campaign or other professional obligations, but leave them alone when they go to the grocery store, a restaurant and definitely leave their home alone. Leave their families out of it. Work is work. Home is home
Giving everybody money after stealing it from the people who earn it is not in the least libertarian. It's communism. Communism is anti libertarian.
