Protests erupt over racism at Evergreen State College

    At Evergreen State College, the First Peoples Multicultural Advising Services attempted to organize a day long event where all white people were to be excluded from campus.
    Video of the students' conduct was posted on social media, and the protesters tried to demand that it be removed. At about the 3:38 mark, you will see a college student trying to read the email aloud to a crowd of onlookers. She struggles to read at the 6th grade level, yet she has been accepted into college. Ironically, she is crying about racism.

    O.M.G :eek: At first I thought she was joking. I had to listen twice to make absolutely sure. The film "Idiocracy" seems understated, when you look at this and consider it's real. Just HOW in hades could she have even completed high school? There's no way that someone who is almost illiterate would escape the notice of the Special Ed teachers. She'd be in a remedial program, getting intensive literacy training - just so that she could complete her exams. But quite apart from the total failure of her high school to actually educate her .. how in hades did her parents allow that situation to develop? What in hell is wrong with them????

    This is, and I'm not overstating, completely shocking to me. We would regard an adult with her literacy skills as developmentally delayed and/or intellectually disabled. Such a person would absolutely not be regarded as cognitively 'normal'.

    Your country has far more serious issues than I'd realised, if this is the quality of your university educated 'professionals'. And the deep mystery of how someone like her managed to get a place in ANY university, ANYWHERE on earth, remains unsolved.

    These racists are too young to know what real racism it, that means they were taught they were being oppressed rather than actually experiencing it. When they learn Mexicans are stealing their college slots and jobs they're really gonna be pissed. Thanks Obama.

    But this is all the result of "progressives" running our learning institutions. They are getting their comeuppance now...
    Now that should get him fired: apologizing for using he/him pronouns...

    I really think that age group suffers from what used to be called an identity crisis. They really don't know who they are, and have to imagine a role for themselves. It's just tragic!

    If it sounds racist if/when white people say or do something, then I promise you it's the same thing if you replace them with another group instead. We've made a lot of progress over the years with race relations but it seems like we're now taking steps backwards. I hope this trend won't continue for to much longer because I'd rather live in a time where race and color aren't an issue and we judge people for who they are instead.

    It's a liberal arts college.

    Most of these students are future welfare recipients and/or working for liberal news organizations, state/local/fed government.

    But yeah, this is real.

    Bringing slaves into this country was a huge mistake.

    We need to find a way to segregate ourselves. Living together is never going to work.

    This is what happens as a result of progressives politicizing our educational institutions. What a violation it is to the concept of all people having a RIGHT to knowledge -- when an institution obviously decides it would be racist to expect the girl to read before accepting her into college. Here is a prime example of progressives acting like racists and weakening the potential of a population. The entire Evergreen incident is proof that progressive ideology is a whopping failure.

    But go back to the trigger: the kids were not allowed to stage a racist event. They were told, "no" and this is their reaction.

    This is a group of children, privileged enough to be accepted into college, throwing a profane tantrum. Their argument is that they have a right to be racist and full of hatred for the white people in the institution who are obviously bending over backward to be fair. They need a spanking.

    This generation is lost. It is the generation of the perpetually offended. The neoMarxists are proud of them. It's their greatest accomplishment to date in this country.

    What will these children do once they hit the workforce and the demands of lif become oppressive? Who will they protest then? I'm sure they'll find someone to blame.

    The first and most obvious "tell" of a dysfunctional personality is the notion that they are victims and it is ALWAYS someone else's fault.

    Dr. Carson wasn't the first to express the truth that no matter how much you give to a dysfunctional person, they will end up right back in poverty. He got a lot of flack for it, and I'd speculate that even now, the progressives are rounding up and paying women to say he violated them. We all know he spoke the truth.

    This poor female (3:35 on the video) who had a college ride while being unable to read is proof. Rather than use the chance she's been given to get a life, she becomes negative and tears down her institution. If she's lucky enough to graduate - she will have a devalued diploma from a tarnished college.

    Well, the good thing is that, generationally, we are pretty close to college students being in the post-millenial generation (Generation Z?), if not already there.
