    UPDATE

One of the very few White faces in Richmond's city government has been fired because he "...served the city with grace." but otherwise unemployable Black mayor, Stoney wants someone who can "... lead the city in a new direction". In other words, it's OK to serve the city disgracefully as long as you're Black.

In addition to having the wrong color skin, apparently ex Police Chief Smith wasn't polite enough to the gaggle of violent miscreants intent on destroying as much of the city as possible and tormenting every working taxpayer in town.

A University opinion piece, the post and link you gave me:

And how exactly is Jim Crow related to decades of Affirmative Action? "Apartheid rule" would not have decades of Affirmative Action, and welfare...

    Utterly disgraceful.

I live in the Richmond area and Chief Smith is just the latest victim of Levar Stoney's ambitions. The people who had their homes torched and businesses looted were the first. The next will be the taxpayers who are going to get handed the bill for all the public property that was destroyed and the additional expenses the City has incurred baby-sitting and cleaning-up after the "protest" and "activist" groups that Stoney openly supports.

It's no secret in these parts that this reckless and irresponsible opportunist has his eyes on the Governor's Mansion and beyond, and it's obvious to me and many others that Stoney is seeking to exploit the violence he has allowed to occur in Richmond's streets for his own benefit. William Smith wasn't an obstacle to change, he was an obstacle to Levar Stoney's personal and political aspirations.

I also live in the Richmond area and used to live in the city itself until I began to suffer from "Urban Stress Syndrome" after several armed encounters with the "disenfranchised" crack-heads that comprise Stoney's base.

There's little I can add to your astute observations except that it's utterly disgusting to see a city with so much beauty and potential get trashed because of such a grossly corrupt and incompetent local and state government.

I lived in the city for quite a while myself, and in many respects Stoney has turned out to be the worst mayor I can recall (yes, even worse than Leonidas Young). What he did to William Smith was absolutely vile. Stoney set the RPD up for failure and then he stabbed Smith in the back.

Words can't begin to describe how angry and disgusted I am with him right now. When that faithless bastard runs for governor this won't be forgotten.

It has not been fair, since people from the law and order department use it to specifically get black people behind bars. It's just a matter of interest. The law is the same for all. That's what institutionalized racism is about. And you seem to be unwilling to understand something rather simple.

There is no race mentioned in the legislation you presented. You're just deflecting away and making personal attacks.

Affirmative Action only applies to very few black people, while Jim Crow applied to all black people. While the culture of the Jim Crow era is still present. You can't erase a culture in 1 generation. That's absurd. Do note... if Donald wasn't such a cowardly draft dodger, than he would have enjoyed how apartheid rule in the US army was befitting his personal career. Donald was personally raised up in a country where apartheid rule by the US government was perfectly fine. A culture that was passed down to him, a culture that he is passing down to his kids. AA doesn't put a dent in what the US government and to an extend what the white population did to the entire black community.

Finally, inevitably, the sans-culotte mob in Richmond begins to turn on its Jacobin leadership.

It's all fun and games until the torches and pitchforks show up at your door:

I know Delores McQuinn, and either she doesn't know who and what she is dealing with or she doesn't want to admit it in public.

As for the cowardly mayor of Richmond, I wonder why he didn't come down?

Was he afraid of the "peaceful protesters"?

Did he suddenly lose his interest in "having a conversation"?

Will he have a special security detail from the Richmond Police guarding him and his home tonight?

So many questions. I wonder if we'll get any answers?

It’s also bad when people like Biden make laws targeting minorities....and punishing them worse. Like this law. That’s what institutionalized racism is all about. The racist don’t come out and say they are racist but hid it behind laws like Biden’s crime bill

you're just trolling of topic and failed to even prove Biden is like that.
