But not so. Reporters from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) have found that, together with her new husband, the former Mrs. Putin owns a mini-palace near the upscale French resort town of Biarritz that could be worth up to €7 million. This is the same seaside region where another member of the family - Katerina Tikhonova, widely reported to be the president’s daughter - has already put down roots.

After this I will not go to the polls
Anti-Western Putin has a palace in France
As the Russian economist says, Prime Minister Medvedev serves the global business
Election is the divorce of suckers
While the people are watching clowning on TV, Putin conspires with Western leaders

I've never noticed that Putin is in any way 'anti-Western'. Can you let us have your evidence please?

If you watched TV in Ukraine and Russia, you would understand that Putin is anti-Western. If the West does not see the enemy in the person of Putin, then this completely changes my opinion about geopolitics.
Then I do not see any difference between Russia, the US, Germany and England.
I used to think that the US and Russia are struggling with each other in the world.
So the world is multipolar and then politics is not interesting to me at all.

Let me put it this way - every country needs its enemy, real or imagined, in order that the populaces can be controlled by being made fearful in times when instilling that fear might be 'convenient' for our rulers, and as we've found out from recent events (the Russian hacking in the presidential elections  ), to divert the public gaze away from more domestic shenanigans? In other words Putin has been demonised, and people like you fell for it??

Most Ukrainians hate Putin because of the Crimea and Donbass
He attacked Ukraine because she goes to NATO. I do not want to go to NATO and the European Union so I easily watch Russian TV channels, read Russian books, etc.
Is it true that in the US they do not think about Russia and do not constantly show on TV Putin? Because in Russia every day, whatever they say about Trump.

As I remember it, the EU in the guise of NATO invited Ukraine to become a member of The Club, but underneath it all, I believe it was nothing less than a cynical exercise for the sole purpose of provoking Russia militarily.

I agree. It would be better if Ukraine did not join the EU and NATO.
Norway is not in the EU. It is the most developed country in the world.
Ireland is not in NATO. Not much inferior to Norway.
Do you see Russia on television every day in England? Or once a week?

I only ever see Russia when I watch documentaries or travel shows featuring the country. And the only time our tv media mentions Russia is when there's something negative to say about it. I loathe the EU and everything to do with it. I'm hoping the Catalonian independence thing will bring about the collapse of the effing EU.

Yes, rarely. But I've seen enough to convince me that Russia seems to be civilized, and the Russians themselves quite prosperous and contented.

And you probably see that we're a nation of alcohol-addicted, dumbed-down fools ruled by fools. That just about sums up today's English society.
