She may end up being the anti-AOC, which presents some interesting fantasy catfight potential on the House floor for my toxic masculinity streak. I think MTG owns a construction business. Google says she is also the first Crossfit Affiliate elected to Congress. Hmm.

You sure it was the Republicans embarrassed today? Liz Cheney is likely done after today, true, and I bet lots of wet by the ears staff who recommended that "riding the wave" was a smart idea will be s-canned sooner rather than later.

I was thinking the exact same thing. And she'll be as powerless as AOC. AOC was much hotter in her college days, though. So the cute and spunky award goes to her.

When I am elected POTUS, gonna go for at least 7-8 impeachments and think big. But Pelosi wasn't arm-twisted on this IMO, it was all her, she wouldn't have raved all week and weekend about it otherwise. Didn't she go on Sixty Minutes to push it, or was that someone else or another time? Does anyone still watch that?

Reasonable question. Read the replies. Sedition and extorting a foreign leader are just petty differences of opinion. Apparently. I don't know. Reminds me of the Lost In Space robot.

Will wager she gets stripped of power in the GOP soon, 1-2 months? a week if she were male.

Admittedly, today was a very bad day for the GOP, not really due to Trump, but for trying to milk MSM hysteria, that's usually Democrat turf and likely to PO Trump voters and GOP moderates both.

And they say liberals are the biggest crybabies.

Keep dividing your party! It's wonderful!

I don't want to take this thread too far off-topic.
It definitely seemed she was arm-twisted the first time. Why she seems to be much more enthusiastic this time could be the subject of another discussion.
I personally think she might be worried about falling in popularity with her Party, and so she is trying to do everything she can do drum up enthusiasm (especially from the younger segment of the Party) and show that she is onboard the boat.
If she can maintain the powerful position of Speaker, she might even have a chance for a shot at the Presidency (if Biden dies or becomes incapacitated, he's pretty old, and Kamala is not seen as qualified to assume the position, then the Speaker is third in line).

Is this humor? First CrossFit affiliate owner...

Just an affiliate? Did she win Affiliate Apprentice or something?

This is the problem. I don't want amateurs in government. We did that. Ended up with the most disgraceful presidency in our history.

She says she's going nowhere. I believe her. She's much tougher than Jim Jordan, and she's honest and intelligent. Other honest intelligent Republicans will follow her.

    No clue what this means.

She used to own a successful gym, Crossfit Affiliate is somewhat hard to get, like Bikram Yoga back in the day.

I want ALL amateurs in government, especially private sector people the way the Framers intended. Washington is a low-skill environment in comparison to the private sector, and not at all a meritocracy. An entrenched, professional political aristocracy sucking us dry and selling us off for decades is as bad as any other problem the country faces.

And really, Trump's Administration was a moderate one, and other than the infinite obstructions, as successful in policy, and FAR less conservative than many others, including Clinton. Did you really buy the TV hypno ray? Trump wasn't that bad, he made the wrong people look bad in full public view, that is why they hate him so and scraped the barrel bottom of their credibility to attack him, and history will remember him most for that. 30-40 million voters were asleep at the wheel. Now they have seen the insanity, hypocrisy and corruption of the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex Aristocracy in Washington first hand. Trump did that, and nothing can undo it.

Sad commentary on the GOP when their elected representatives cannot be distinguished from tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy whackadoodles.

LOL! When I read the title, I thought you were talking about CO freshman Lauren Boebert. Another RW nut who disgraced herself on her first day in congress by playing attack dog for Trump. At least, now the conservatives cannot point to AOC anymore as the most extreme person in congress. They have their own nuts that are much worse. Plus, while AOC is controversial among Democrats, conservatives fully embrace their QAnon nuts in congress.

Doesn't it feel like the remaining true believer Trump supporters on this forum have gone completely unhinged since last week?

LOL! This is the third thread on this topic this morning. Seems like the true believers are busy sifting through RW trash blogs, so they can find stuff to post that demonstrates their full embrace of the QAnon RW extremist fringe of the Republican party. What has become of the Grand Old Party? Shambles....

Maybe it’s the fact that we have elected officials that believe there is a cabal of inter dimensional vampires that drink the adrenochrome of infants in the basement of a pizza parlor?
Such absurdity shouldn’t be forgotten or excused. Insane leadership shouldn’t be left to their own devices. They should be mocked out of office.

It actually represents what the country has been faced with for the past four years...partisan stupidity! The Dems did it for four years so now it is time for the GOP to return the favor. Seems like a Dem from NY warned about this back in 1998 when Clinton was impeached! And here we are! There is no unity with the Democrats! Only control of the people.
