    “We strongly condemn internet shutdowns – they are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet”

    Twitter's right, and if someone is going to censor and silence the people they disagree with like the Nazis did, then using the Nazi symbol to point out and/or criticize their Nazi-like behavior is entirely fitting and appropriate.

    It's Twitter's authority as a private company to make that decision. They also banned Trump for continued violation
    of their rules. Their choice. The government did not force them.

    I agree, Dan - Twitter's authority isn't the issue. The issue are their Internet shutdowns that, to use Twitter's own words, are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet.

    I agree, unless there are certain people using the internet to plan crimes - or are piggy-backing on someone's account to
    plan crimes. It seems that might have been the case with Trump.

    If you had used the Ban Symbol (red circle with a diagonal line) as the background for the Twitter Symbol you point would come across loud and clear.

    By using the Nazi Swastika you are sending a Hate Speech message instead.
