An accurate statement that reflects reality is never disingenuous. I heard sean carroll express this thought on rogan . He even told of a person whiwho moved into philisophy because of this .
That is what disingenuous means? The glass wall was metaphor. As was the shattered glass. So the poorly expressed observation that others agree to is disingenuous? Trying to comprehend here.
Quantum mechanics is not for me and its not for 99 percent of the population That is why we have geniuses to understand this
What-Why. Different sides of the same coin depending on how they are used to convey information... a question of semantics in imprecise common language, itself subject to investigation as Noam Chomsky might suggest. That physics is expressed as equations as, you put it, is to express explanation in the language of mathematics. E=MC^2 is a mathematic shorthand means of expressing a why in terms of a precise shared language that is useful in conveying knowledge in a way that also encapsulates the means for testing that knowledge and useful for making predictions. But, it also raises deeper questions that remain, what is the underlying nature of mass and why does it appear to have the equivalence relation ship with energy it does? That we are having this discussion is at core a philosophic discussion, in part one of an epistemological nature. There are those that have suggested, many from the discipline of physics, that philosophy is dead. Is it? A fun topic for discussion over pints.
No, it is not the same. The cat is alive or dead, it cannot be both. Erwin's cat experiment is just silly.
No, I do not think this works. For the fly to be crushed between the wheels of the bicycles, the bicycles would have to meet. Regardless then of what the fly was doing, the bikes started at 20 miles apart travelling toward one another at ten miles an hour each. This means that after an hour, each bike had closed half the distance and they then smacked their front tires together. Eh?
I have no idea - you may be a world renowned physicist for all I know with poor skills at translating your mathematical abilities to English; however, maybe you could clarify how your last statement that I've bolded here, in anyway significantly improves upon the previously bolded statement, and well, this pink stuff I've done with your post I suppose is just for fun....
So you have single handedly overthrown 100 years of physics with five seconds of thought. Does this say more about physics or your arrogance?
Pfffttttt! Thanks. A blood vessel in my left ear just burst and it’s ringing like a cat in a box. And the pubs are closed, so we’ll have to have pints alone together in virtual camaraderie.
I prefer Farnsworth, who summarized quantum mechanics simply as "anything can happen at any time for no reason."
Hmmm.... I think thinking of having a drink, but rarely drink at home when alone... but the weight of the thought just gained mass...
No, it isn't. You just don't understand it. Relax already, you obviously have never studied this and don't know what you are talking about.
We probably both should find better use of our time. How and why my little post here triggered you to call me arrogant is a bit unclear to me, as also it is unclear to me how the cat in a box thought experiment alone, in-and-of-itself represents "100 years of physics" From your previous post in this thread, Additionally there is my ever faithful resource, the awesome wikipedia! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrödinger's_cat And from the man himself,
cat live or dead is only a metaphor that pertains to whether you see a wave length or particular I think. Lol
Or as Hugh Everett once proposed in the late 50’s if I remember correctly, you could say both happened in his version of the Many World’s Interpretation...all possible outcomes happen. There have been a few SyFi TV productions somewhat based on his interpretation over the years.
