You have higher greenhouse gas levels. That's kind of obvious. That's why we know greenhouse gases control climate, because the warm past with a cool sun can't be explained without greenhouse gases.

Drought destroyed those civilizations. It may not have been global change, but local climate changes certainly destroys civilizations.

That was one study of many on that graph.

You're just not very good at this. Jevrejeva was the only one supporting you claim, and you agree it's wrong. Thanks for playing.

Except we had a warmer planet with less CO2. The contention that CO2 is the climate control knob is absurd.

Drought is weather and is the result of colder ocean temperatures which are cyclical. It has nothing to do with CO2 concentration.

That’s funny. It showed the highest yearly rate but the actual paper showed no change in the trend line. Those wacky alarmists - gotta feel sorry for them.

Wow...tide gauges are only used locally because AGW caused rising tides are a global not a local phenomena. Every single area has its own eco system among other factors. Some are lower, some higher then the global average.
Why don’t you google tides to find out why some in one area can be higher then another. Please.

Btw, laser technology can give us many more samples then looking at at limited number of tide gages . Laser technology can give us distances to the moon accurate to within 3 cm. I think they can handle tidal differences.

These are simpleton diversions that deniers always fall for.

NOT ONE TIDE GAUGE WORLDWIDE SHOWS ANY ACCELERATION.

Acceleration ? Of course not. They’re gauges. They record data. People have figure the rate of change.
    Btw, your source is ?
Using tidal gauges to estimate global sea level rises is pretty silly. They are local and limited. Radar from satellites has been measuring every square cm of Change in the ocean for 25 years...Mathematics using thermal expansion and Ice melt from ice sheets have agreed with their indirect calculation.
Why would you expect to have local inaccurate measurements give you anything worth while ? But I guess, you disagree with every university our Military NASA and the official stance of every major Corp and country in the entire world.

Please, aren’t you the least bit embarrassed ?

The old millions of years ago theory. Be careful, you’ll have to admit to evolution and the world being being older them 6 thousand years. Modern Man could not survive and compete with the species that existed then. The world was Warner for different reasons. . I guess you think you need a wood stove to heat an air space and a greenhouse can’t ?
What’s your point ? Hope your not bragging that your ill informed..and incapable of googling real science. It’s everywhere.

Until the 1993 only tide gauges were used for global sea level rise.

What makes you think that satellite data is any more accurate? Oceans slosh back and forth like water in a bowl. Sea level in different oceans is different. This comes down to modelling and if that is not done correctly then what?

Yes. Satellite data on sea level has known problems.

Only in your mind’s eye. You’re the one with the problem. You actually use a cell phone, have little idea how it works, but somehow can’t trust the same people who know the science behind it, can’t figure that out. Oh, NASA, the entire communication and satellite industry are faking it....that’s what
You make made up unsubstantiated statements and expect a serious answer ? Please, just give me one major institution that agrees with these comments....other then Shawn Hannity.

OK, so you are ignorant of the relationship between temperature and evaporation rate. That fits.
I said no such thing, and you know it, which is why you have not offered a direct, verbatim, in-context quote to support your claim. But higher temps do accelerate the hydrological cycle.
Nope. Reality only contradicted the silly $#!+ you made up and falsely attributed to me.
As they say in Japan, "It's mirror time!"

Quote the analogy you claim that resembles.
    Wrong.
    Not any more.
    Wrong.
    You don't understand it.
?? Huh? I just got through explaining to you, very patiently, why it CAN'T reach the poles.
Wrong. A theory doesn't have to explain everything to be right. The Germ Theory of contagious disease was right long before people understood how pathogens evade the immune system, etc.
What do you expect? Grist is totally on board with anti-fossil fuel hysteria.

That’s laughable. Other then your steering, every other control in a modern car runs through a computer. You put blind faith in technology every time you drive, use a cell phone or order from Amazon.

Do your homework and stop embarrassing yourself. In the natural history of the earth there is no correlation between CO2 concentration and temperature.

So you think satellite measurements from space are the same thing as driving a car? Fascinating.

And you don’t think they both use data that’s processed by a computer at a rate tens of thousands of samples per second ? In this day and age, the difference is in the raw data gathering apparatus, not the processing of the data. Am I writing too fast....you really don’t get it do you ? Technology developed for space has spawned uses in medicine, automobiles and military. Yes, we use a laser from space to measure distances and lasers to surture your eye retina and play your CDs
